ButterflyNerd007: I'd like to share some of my thoughts. Please read through the whole way.

Something about tragedy brings people together. We realize that life truly does matter. We realize that we should love harder. That we should be more compassionate. That we should cherish each moment together just a little bit more.

But the problem with this is that we remember this up to a few months at the most. Frankly, this needs to change. This HAS to change. But we can't change it unless we try.

I think, often times, we don't say or show one another how much we truly care because we're afraid of being hurt. We're afraid of being rejected by our peers because showing love isn't common.

Today, right now, whatever you're doing, STOP. Think about this. Can you make a positive impact on this world if you continue the way you are now? Each day, we go to work, we go to school, we go to stores. You easily touch at least 20 people a day just as an average. You may not get the chance to talk to 20 people, but you see that many that you can easily brighten their day just a little bit.

You CAN make a difference. You know those old ladies that may not even know you but smile and maybe squeeze your arm or ask how you are? We should all be those old ladies!! They make you smile and feel a little special, right?

As someone who struggles with depression, I can personally say that small acts of kindness effect people a ton. I remember one day this semester, I was very down. Very low. I was contemplating suicide. You know what made me smile? This girl behind me at Starbucks was really nice to the barista. That made me wipe my tears away, put my earbuds back in, and walk away with a smile on my face. I felt amazing that day after seeing kindness and I didn't even know her. My point is... Compassion and small acts of kindness HELP TREMENDOUSLY.

LET'S START TO CHERISH ONE ANOTER. We are basically all one big family. We live this life together on this earth. LET'S ENJOY IT. Let's show compassion to not only family, but to friends, to strangers. To the 20 people you impact each day. Let's be genuine. Instead of sucking back our tears, let's be honest with one another about how we truly are. It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to be yourself. That's what friendship and love is built on;bonding. If we pretend we're okay when we're not, we can't truly bond with one another.

Let's be bold. Let's impact the world with love. With compassion. Let's give people the care they need. Today might be the last time you see them. Instead of forgetting about being more compassionate and loving in a few months, let's remember. START A MOVEMENT OF AWESOME. Of COMPASSION. Of KINDNESS.
