You could teach me a lot because I don't get any of it. I love birds and natural parks and the stuffed animal in my picture is a blue footed booby, a bird of the Pacific that has blue feet. The coloration comes from foods it ingests and this food serves as an antioxidant and boosts its immune system. The blue feet make it a distinctive feature and are thought to be sexually selective traits. The bird was first studied extensively by Charles Darwin. Considering going on the Virginia Society of Ornithology's birding event at Chesapeake Bay's Bridge-Tunnel (Norfolk, VA) and Fisherman Island (Virginia Beach, VA) on December 7th and 8th, the Christmas Bird Counts in Washington DC and Jug Bay, MD on December 14th and 15th, and the Christmas Bird Count at Chincoteague NWR on December 29th.
