MHSG Room Rules

The following rules apply to all MHSG Chatroom's unless specified otherwise


Rule One
Our Primary goal is to supply a safe and friendly environment; to this end everyone is expected to show respect to everyone who enters the room, hateful, rude or mean comments and immature behavior will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with someone in the room Pm a Moderator or ignore them. (do not retaliate in kind, anyone and everyone who engages in a fight in the room(s) will be dealt with the same regardless of who started it.)

Rule Two

Moderators are in charge of the room; when a Moderator makes a request, please comply, the Moderators will only make requests they believe are in the best interest of the room. These request may be but are not limited to, Topic Changes, Reminders to be respectful to others in the room, or refrain from posting inappropriate content. Please do not argue with a Moderator in the room.; you have two choices if you disagree with a decision of a Moderator, you may ask to PM the moderator and discuss it in a mature and polite manner or contact the Owner(s). Regardless you will be expected to comply with the Moderators request at the time that it is made.

Please note that the moderators need to able to see whats happening in the room to moderate it. Although wire allows users to block anyone; being in the MHSG chatroom on wire and having a Moderator from the room blocked will not be tolerated. Please make sure if you wish to use the room you unblock before entering the room or you will be removed.

Rule Three

Do Not Break Rules One or Two. Failure to follow the rules or comply with instructions of the Moderators will result in one or more of the following

1) a warning for first time or minor breaches of the rules.

2) a temporary suspension from the room for failing to comply with Moderators instruction or serious breaches of the rules.

3) banned from the room permanently for repeat offenders or serious breaches of the rules.

Note: Options 1&2 are at the discretion of the individual moderators; option 3 is at the discretion of the MHSG Moderating team as a whole.

Please Note: The following are not necessarily rules in and of themselves but mostly just specific examples of rules one and two and how and why they are applied to the room.


Re: Topics in the chatroom's (applies to both chatroom's)

All though no topic is expressly banned, several topics are of a sensitive nature and from time to time at the discretion of the moderators may be prohibited.

Drugs and Alcohol are the two most common. Due to the fact we have members in recovery, trying to abstain from various substances, there will be NO glorification or casual promotion or random comments permitted ever.

We do recognize and understand however that medical marijuana is becoming legalized around the globe; conversations about this topic as long as they are in some context of either mental or physical health will be allowed at a moderators discretion. (This means sometimes they won't be allowed)

Please keep in mind if your going to engage in debating a topic in the room that you use well thought out statements backed up by reputable sources


The MHSG Chatroom's are "G" Rated (applies to both chatroom's)

All conversations must be polite, respectful and free of profanity. If what your thinking of texting in the rooms is not something you would say in front of 12 year old; it most likely is not something you should text in the rooms here. (this includes the posting of external links; such as YouTube videos)


Re: Avatars in the room (applies to wireclub chatroom only)

Due to the fact the MHSG chat room is a mental health support group and is G rated avatars must be family friendly and appropriate for the room; so avatars depicting nudity, profanity, graphic violence or glorifying suicide or recreational drug/alcohol use will not be allowed in the room. You will be asked to change your avatar if it's deemed unsuitable for the room, if you don't you'll be asked to leave the room.


Re: Private Chat & Friendship Requests

While in the MHSG chatroom's is it best case practice to ask first and get permission to private text someone or send a friendship request.
