I understand now the meaning of someone being your "better half". She has made me a better man, a better father, and a better person. We may have a strange and wacky relationship at times, but in front of God and all these witnesses who are reading this....I would say I would do it again in a flat second... Art0fliving: Charlie...it is sad....this will lead to the downfall of society as we know it..(I am sure some people think we are already there)...lol Art0fliving: a fine Saturday morning...gonna sleep in...and at 6 am...my 10 yr old lab decides he REALLY needs to go out and do his business....Using his Metronome bark..(which means let me outside before I explode all over the floor)...he lets me know that he wants to go out NOWWWW....so I get up and do so(not wanting to clean up the mess if I don't)... Art0fliving: we were recently on Vacation in Chicago...while at their aquarium, there was this young "Fish Nerd" spouting off all sorts of crap about fish to my two daughters....the guy in the red shirt and baseball cap is me...waiting to smack him if needed.....lol  Art0fliving: It is Memorial Day in the USA today...a chance for us to look back and honor those who have served this country(and prehaps died for it) I always think of my father..I think of his service to this country...it wasnt even his country of birth...he came here in 1938, leaving his family behind in Germany, and then by 1943 was in the army..he fought the Germans(his countrymen) until the end in 1945...winning the bronze star along the way for bravery. After that, he serviced faithfully in the reserves until 1974, when he retired. One time, he told me that he considered himself an American....period....he had fought and bled for this country and this was what he was......Thanks, Dad Art0fliving: it has been a rough day so far...after a 5 yr battle with cancer, a 12 yr old boy named Zachi didnt have any fight left in him today and he died...his parents had adopted him 6 yrs ago and they have helped him to fight the cancer until it finally won out...he lived 4 yrs longer than he should have...I know the family well...I dont have anything profound to say about all of this...and I would ask that any comments designed to start a fight over death or the afterlife or whatever..be left out today...I am too heartbroken to argue today.... StolenHeart: awww Art...so saddened to hear this. May strength, peace and comfort find those who mourn him... Art0fliving: since I am receiving chips and stuff every day for logging into wire...I will eventually have enough TO TAKE OVER AND RULE WIRE..HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA(evil laugh) Art0fliving: so...my new computer finally arrives...and I am as happy, happy, happy...until I start to count parts...where is my keyboard?...I let them put the order together for me and apparently, they didnt think a keyboard was neccasary....I am not sure how they expect me to operate this unit...maybe with telepathy??...now I have to wait until their office opens to find out just what they were thinking.....sigh Art0fliving: so my day is starting off ever so well....it is hot and very humid outside, all the doors are open because I have guys working on the house, and my dogs(3) have escaped my homemade jail cell that they were in and 1) ran all over the yard, and 2) terrified all the workmen by barking at them....and they are very pleased with themselves.....
