What is work?

AretoNyx
AretoNyx: Sounds like a dumb question but really people don't think love is work ...relationships as work commonly off hand. People don't think practice as work when enjoying hobby or learning when sparking joy likely. Sex to cooking...to all sorts of things.

Though yeah there are laws and definition what is work.

Trail_7: Someone said as long as you are working on bettering your self in some way then it is OK if you do not have a job in the standard definition.

Trail_7: Also, yes I think thinking is work. Because in the last 15 years I would say I have become more deep in thought than I was prior to that. Why? Because life changed and suddenly the only daily support I really had was in myself. At least in my mind. And thinking more isn't as fun as just being laid back and enjoying myself which I would more so do before the last 15 years.

Trail_7: People often ask me - are you working? And my initial reaction to them is no I am not because I am conditioned to answer this way, however another part of me feels I actually do work for example when I talk with people.

AretoNyx: When you feel like you do work talking. I have anxiety diagnosed among other things. Though yes it feels like work for me as well to socialize and I feel exhausted from it among from other things day to day. Especially as a job in retail having to do so all the time.

Still of course your experience is still yours but I can understand as such.

Trail_7: I have developed social anxiety over the years - of being alone for long periods of time it seems. But when someone is very kind, very patient and very willing with me it seems i see that and it melted away my anxiety- i remember this one incident with an old neighbour. Just sharing how i can relate to you - not sure if it is beneficial for you but maybe or for me too. I also felt quite a but of stress while visiting an old friend and her family - they were so stressed out too and maybe it rubbed off on me or just in general throughout the days happenings with them. Ironically my friend said i make her calm but i was left "pale" and feverish - very dry lips which happens when i am stressed out i think.

Trail_7: But I just meant that talking is work because i am giving of myself, using my brain to think about things, i wasn't even counting my anxiety as part of the equation - when i responded to you initially.
