Wireclub technical problems Shapeshifter_: I've been on this site for about two years now, and never has it worked so poorly as now. I keep waiting for a fix, but it doesn't come, so I'm gonna post all the problems I've been having on this forum, and hope that the admins will take notice and finally do something about it. Anyone else feel free to post problems you've been having as well. Chat problems in pm: Often times anymore I'm chatting w/ someone in pm (the three flickering dots, which indicate the other person is typing, may or may not show), and their pm doesn't come through, so sometimes they'll show me a screenshot showing what they typed. Other times the three dots flicker, they stop, and a whopping 3-5 minutes (or more) later the pm appears. I don't remember pm'ing being a problem when I first joined; now it's just a disaster. Chat problems in chat rooms: I'll post something in a chat room, I see others posts, then all of the sudden... stillness. So I'll refresh the page, and voila, the posts appear again. I find myself having to keep refreshing or else the posts stop appearing, and nowhere is this more of a problem than in the wordy chat room. But it also happens in all the chat rooms, including ones I made; even a private one (you would think maybe this would be less of a problem if there are less users in a room and less going on (say private room vs. game rooms), but that isn't always the case). Problems specific to wordy: As you know you get two minutes a turn. Sometimes it's the opponent's turn, the clock winds all the way down to, say, 30 sec or so left, and all of the sudden the board shuffles (but no shuffle power was used) and it's my turn, but w/ only a minute left. It's like it doesn't always register right away when the opponent plays their word, like it should. Sometimes I have to keep refreshing here too, b/c then it registers that the opponent went, but that doesn't always work, and the former scenario occurs anyway. Also, when this happens, the opponent's word they played doesn't display. Shapeshifter_: Also, fyi, I use Amazon Fire tablets. No, they're not the most high end devices out there, but I'm using them indefinitely until I get a laptop (at which point I'll probably still use them anyway). They work fine on EVERY OTHER SITE but this one. Even streaming videos (from youtube or wherever else) works fine on them. Which goes to show it's this site that's the problem and not these tablets.  Safira_: Have noticed lately that when i type in room the first word of my previous sentence gets added onto the end of the sentence i an currently typing. This doesn't happen on any other website, nor on phone text messages. Only a restart will stop it happening for a short time. I have spoken to one other user after i noticed it happened to him. I am using a Pixel 3A, running Android 9, security patch level 1 August 2019. The other person was using a phone brand called Konka. |
