It will show you a link that's very different than that one, and a blue "COPY" tab to the right of it that automatically places it to your clipboard for pasting elsewhere. It will look like this: htt.ps://youtu.be/tlPz3W8V2_Q (I put a period in the https to break the link so you can see what it looks like) Those work on Wire, and here it is unbroken: Geoff: Or when you post the link, just remove the "m" after the "https://" and replace it with "www". Corwin: I personally just right-click at the bottom of the video and a menu pops up, and I left-click on "Copy Video URL"... that gives me the same link I posted above. But I'm not sure if that only works with Firefox or not. Geoff: It's because Wire doesn't interpret URLs from the mobile version of YouTube (which Kindle users are directed to) the same way, because it doesn't recognise the m. subdomain. Correcting for this (and still loading the video in exactly the same way) would be quite straightforward. I suspect it would simply require a minor modification to the regex which detects the URL. I know Wire does the same with m. Facebook links, and I suspect that it does the same with Wikipedia links from the mobile version of the site too. MsKiwi: Hi...how can I change the Rating on a chatroom I've opened? Please and thank you in advance for your help... Geoff: You don't. You stick to that rating and you like it. Learn to bowdlerise your curses. "I'll see you in heck you distended segment of diseased orangutan rectum!" That sort of thing. Geoff: @Ruby. Does it have to be with the room owner's consent? Or can you just wander into any room and go, "Boom! This room is now 'G'. Behave!" RUBY: Depends of the room If we notice it's a room where people chat a Lil too heavy we change it without asking the owner Of the owner wants a room with just adults and ask us to change it pg or r rated than we change it Corwin: I hear that distended segment of diseased orangutan rectum is actually a delicacy in some countries. |
