flagged account

wisperr: My account was flagged and I'd like to know why ----- and who flagged it. I don't fight with anyone nor do I use bad language -- so ,, I'd like to know WHO flagged my account and why.

PrincessLina: I got false flagged to If a user reports you for no reason , generally they would(I mean SHOULD ) be the one to get the flag

Owen: This is too far back to have a look.

I am confident in saying that we don't flag accounts without a reason however. =)

PrincessLina: But If a user falsely flags u then they get the penalty don't they

Owen: If a user submits a report which isn't against rules, we leave the report alone. If the report is offensive or against anything in the rules/terms of service, the flag (or worse) may be applied.

wisperr: I personally do not EVER use offensive language -- nor do I start fights,,,, For whatever reason MY account was flagged,, it was for a ' personal ' issue with another female --- and had nothing to do with WC rules.

Owen: Personal conflicts can potentially get your account flagged if it's disrupting the chat room.

A flag is a warning to settle down, nothing more.

PrincessLina: Owen may I be a mod helper?

wisperr: the flag on my account did NOT happen in a chat room ---- it was in a ' blog ' ,, I disagreed with another person

PrincessLina: However if more rules are broken, someone's account can get suspended and possibly terminated

Owen: Blogs (etc) are managed by the bot and by admin. It's still a moderated area of the site but limited to the few members with the power to make changes to them, such as delete and flag posts appropriately.

Moderators only moderate the chatrooms (in the long run unless absolutely required we need to intervene) - almost everything else is staffed by the admins.

Besides Ruby who moderates the forums.

BrandyRose: That happened to me once....it was a mistake on the part of Wire. Just report it to Ruby or one of the admins..and they will turn it around for ya..(if it's for no reason).

I do not ask his account be removed, just maybe talk to him. I set up a legitimate thread Topic: Education for education/debate, and he has defied warnings against making blatant attacks and trolling.
