Click the image link below to view the path linking diagram: http://www.wireclub.com/ui/imageAttachment/UaJ0hkanShOsIWZr0 1) Paths - think of the number 8 as in 8 directions to go from each letter 2) Elimination - eliminate the letters that don't allow you to go any further 3) Vowels - vowels go with everything so remember where they are 4) Strings - follow all the paths that aren't eliminated and pick the longest one note: The key is to stick to the vowels. - In Co-Op mode, setting up for a really good word by using up other words helps get bigger word scores for one person however it actually hurts your score in the long run. Get as many points as you can each turn, this is how the highest scores were obtained. - In Versus mode, try to plan what letters will be left after your word is used as in if it leaves the word ""conceptual" with a few bonuses as a possible word choice, you're basically setting yourself up to lose. If on the other hand your word leaves 3 Q's and an X, you've chosen wisely as nobody can make a word out of those. - Play with good sportsmanship. Congratulate and encourage users and you'll be thanked for it. Being really rude is not only bad, nobody will want to play so please be respectful of others. ******************************************************************************* 3) Tips on scoring - Most of the time, the winning words are not 14 letters long. In fact those will be the rare words which come once in a very long time so don't immediately search for the biggest word possible. The majority of words played are 4-8 letters long. - Bonus tiles are ones with little symbols on them like (x2), (x4), (+2), and (☀). These score the most points so get as many as you can each turn before the other player does. - Look for vowels first as in A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y. Use them as much as possible and as efficiently as possible. Whatever vowels you don't use are points you're letting the other person potentially score so leave as little vowels as possible. - Use prefixes and suffixes such as "re", "er", "ers","ed", "ing", "ies", "iest", etc. as these can make even the smallest words worth more points not to mention they go with nearly every word. Examples: - bad, badder, baddest - scary, scared, scaring, scariest - enter, reenter, reenters, reentered, reentering, reentry ******************************************************************************* 4) General Tips - Play with friends and people you're comfortable with. The game is certainly more fun when you are playing with people you know. - In the wordy chatroom, check the player's stats if you're unsure about accepting an invitation from someone you don't know. Stats are all you need to know. - Focus on 1 or 2 games at a time. 3 or more will only make it harder for you to concentrate not to mention will dramatically shorten the time you have to figuring out a word to play. ******************************************************************************* 5) Demo Video ******************************************************************************* - Seb (Edited by Robot Seb) Titanser: Has any mod or anybody ever gotten a 11 letter word? - http://awesomescreenshot.com/0481fj4ce1 Robot Seb: "photography" is an 11 letter word as is "subservient","neutralized", "neutralizer", or "neutralizes". One of my favorite words is even longer than that, 12 letters. It's an extinct species of flying dinosaur from the Jurassic period named "archeopteryx"... I taught my 5th grade teacher how to say it properly which is phonetically pronounced as "are-key-op-ter-ricks". Semantics is a hobby of mine.
Robot Seb: Those particular words I haven't and would probably be very unlikely as some letters such as "z" rarely appear in the game. Judi_: Is that there any forums for tips and instructions of how to play each of wireclub games? Where? |
