- 1 - Safety, Security, & Awareness -

Security-wise, Wireclub is among the safest & most secure websites on the internet and is virtually impossible for someone else to gain access to your account by any means. The only way to get into Wireclub is by knowing the correct password and is why keeping your password a secret is very important. We have a dedicated team that works very hard on site security in order to ensure the safety of every Wireclub user. It's better to be aware of the dangers so you can avoid them as the best way Wireclub can protect all of the users is by informing everyone of potential dangers. The best way to protect yourself, your friends, and your loved ones, is by knowing the these dangers and helping them to avoid those dangers also by informing them as well. Knowledge is power!

- 2 - Account Recovery, Email Addresses, And Email Validation -

If you lose access to your account for any reason, the only way to regain access is to reset the password that will be sent to your account's registered email by clicking the link below.

http://www.wireclub.com/account/passwordResetRequest

If you do not have access to that email or cannot remember the exact email spelling, unfortunately you will not be able to reset the password and is why you must always remember your email account information. A good practice is to write down your email address somewhere you will always have it available in case it's ever needed. Moderators and Administrators do not have access to email addresses registered to accounts so it's something that you must always remember because without it, you won't be able recover anything relating to your account.

You should validate your registered email as soon as you join Wireclub to ensure that it is the proper email address you use and that anything relating to your account such as password requests and notifications always go to that email account only. Validation emails from Wireclub can sometimes take up to an hour to receive depending on which email service you use. Be sure to check your spam folder also as it can sometimes be automatically placed in that folder. You can request a new validation email to be sent to your email account by clicking the link below.

Never use the same password for your registered email account and your Wireclub account!

****************************************************************************************
- 3 - Passwords Keep Your Account Secure -

Choosing a strong password is one of the most important things you can do. There are programs that can guess your password if it is an easy one such as "KittyCat" or some other commonly spoken word. Random numbers & letters are the best way to keep your passwords secure.

If you think your account is being used by someone else other than you, we strongly urge all users to change your password immediately which is all that's needed in order to keep your account secure. We also ask that all users who suspect their account iof being compromised to please contact a member of our staff immediately.

****************************************************************************************
- 4 - Public Computers & Auto-Saved Passwords -

It's a good idea to never save your login info directly to your computer or to let it be saved on a computer that you don't own, or is in a public place like a library, an internet cafe, or a retail store like Best Buy & many other electronic gadget retailer. Most public computers located in schools and at internet cafes retain data as well for security purposes to make sure nobody uses those computers in a way that is illegal or that would get them in trouble so connecting to Wireclub in a public place on a public computer is something to at least be aware of.

****************************************************************************************
- 5 - Smart Phones & Mobile Devices Should Always Be Logged Out Of When Finished! -

More and more users are connecting to Wireclub via mobile devices and smart phones each day. it's important to not auto-save your login info directly on your phone because people often leave their phones and mobile devices laying around in various places where anyone that has access to that phone can also potentially have access to your Wireclub account. Please remember to always log out after each time you visit Wireclub and to always make sure your phones or smart devices don't auto-save your passwords or login info because if you allow other people to use your phone, or you lose access to that phone, or even lose the phone itself, anyone who finds it or does have access to it can gain access to your account until you change the password and email its registered to.

****************************************************************************************
- 6 - Phishing = A Clone Site That Steals Login Info -

Phishing is a fake clone site that may appear exactly as Wireclub does, however the URL (http://www.wireclub.com) will not be Wireclub's. This scam is a very sophisticated way of stealing your password information. Be sure when you go to a site that you are not redirected to another site, and that it is indeed Wireclub.com.

****************************************************************************************
- 7 - External Links Are NEVER To Be Clicked From Anyone You Don't Trust -

Do NOT click links from anyone you don't know. There are viruses you can catch via an "exe" link, or worse. It can also be a redirection site like TinyURL that will lead to these types of viruses. Many can give the person sending it access to your computer. Some can not be removed even if you reinstall windows. The best protection against this is to NOT CLICK LINKS.

****************************************************************************************
- 8 - Private Messaging With Random Emails, Scammers, And Soliciting -

Beware of people that may private message you asking you to click a link, may ask you for money, or try to get your personal information. You have the option to set your private messages to "off" or "friends only", but it is still a good idea to be aware of these types of situations.

If your profile has been compromised or you know of someone who is spreading bad links, soliciting, or sending mass e-mails, please contact a member of our staff immediately.

****************************************************************************************
- 9 - Only add & interact with users you trust 100% otherwise don't add them -

Although many people on Wireclub are awesome members, there are some which will randomly add you and may even speak to you before adding you which is fine however we don't recommend accepting a random friend request until you know the person or are comfortable with them at the very least. Once added they have access to you, your profile, your images, posts, and even friends.

As a safety precaution, it's a good idea to check the profile of the person randomly adding you, if they have friends in common with you, or even if it's a profile that's been filled out. We get a lot of users that tend to add others just to gain access to people's profiles so be careful of who you add. We cannot protect you from this type of thing so it's something you must look out for in order to be safe.
