All Of The YouTube Videos Have Disappeared From My Blogs

StuckInTheSixties:

WTF?

Dozens and dozens of vids, just ... GONE.

There's a space left, about the size that would accommodate the vid, but each video is simply gone.

Perhaps so. But they seem to have made some real progress on the Pictures page, which pleases me greatly. I'm not ready to plunge into it just yet, because there's still some very logical fixes that they could implement with it, and I want to make sure that before I start into converting all of my Picture-Blogs into Picture Albums, the workings are set in stone, and aren't going to change.

For instance: Are they going to add the capability for adding captions? I'm tempted to post the pictures, and use the first comment as a place for a caption. But it's clumsier to do that, and it's unforgiving. With captions as they used to work, if you goof one up, you just make it again. With using the comment area for your captions, if you goof it up, and delete it, it leaves this big, ugly "Comment deleted by StuckInTheSixties" thing hanging there looking ugly.

Had I started into the big "Blog-Albums" conversion a few weeks ago, I'd be SCREWED now, faced with either living with a huge bunch of screwed up Albums, or deleting a lot of hard work, and starting over. That is the sort of choice I want to avoid.

Think of it in terms of this analogy:

Your house needs painting. And the paint company is in the process of figuring out just how to make their paint work well in a number of different ways. You know this is happening, but you're not sure when they'll finally get beyond all of the various experimental paints, and come up with the one that will work the best. And they're not really giving you much of an indication of how the progress is going, and what they're ultimately going to finish with.

Do you go ahead and start painting your house, and then, part way through it, learn that learn that your paint isn't nearly as good as what you can get now? Paint the rest of the house with the new paint? Repaint the whole thing?

Karma: That's why i don't own a computer. I know if I ever got one, they'd come out with a better one six months later.

No thanks. I'll stick with these smoke signals until the computer is perfected.
