Which OS (Operating Systeym) do you think is best (Page 10)
JEROMcsqr: I think Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 are the best. Yes windows 10 is better than both of them but I haven't upgraded to windows 10 because of all the privacy issues.
JEROMcsqr: Windows 7 Aero Exclusive edition is also a good OS. But I think that you want to hear about UNIX, LINUX and other operating systems.
alpossmar82: A programming student tried to say DOS, Windows<XP is not operating system,
maybe with certain output device can be a OS in historical context.
accute: @alpossmar82 DOS is an OS. Windows XP is an OS... in fact those are the 2 different OS from Microsoft.
Linux is best IMHO... Ubuntu is the easiest Linux.
lostnthenight: actaully i think mint is a easier linux, or i think zorin is even easierthen both of them.
canadastitan: Jazia You can download any version of Ubuntu then burn the .iso file to a disk or thumb drive and then just boot with the live cd or thumb drive you created and and try it,and if you like it and want to install it you can choose an option to install it beside your Win7 and then be able to choose boot into Ubuntu or Win7
Jadzia n: Okay I got Ubuntu running beside my win7 on same hard drive. It seems to okay os. A lot of my programs or apps I use for win7 are not available for ubuntu. The version of ms office I have through my school only works with windows or apple at this time. But while running ubuntu my pc booted and shut down super fast compared to win7. I going see if can get ubuntu on an usb drive and install it on an old netbook I have that still runs win_xp. Thank you guy for your help!
Arrow__: u cannot run win 7 apps in ubuntu Ubuntu is an open source software platform. i think win 10 is faster than win 7.
Jadzia n: I know win7 programs will not work with ubuntu. They just dont make the programs I need for ubuntu...lol
canadastitan: Jadzia n if you have WINE installed in your Ubuntu distribution then you can run almost any windows program in ubuntu linux including the windows os itself,if you do not have wine installed then just go to the ubuntu software centre and install it
## also if you want the equivalent or better than ms office then try LibreOffice as not only is it works exactly the same but it has more features and will save your work in any ms format..## You can get LibreOffice from the ubuntu software centre for free

JUST an IT GUY: Well without a doubt Amiga OS 1.0 to 3.9.2 aka classic amiga os as the rest are true 8bit shells just like mac os and windows and Linux .. .Mac is closed source Linux. Open BSD is Linux. Amiga os is True UNIX and is True 64bit ,and is REGISTERED as such via the True 64 Unix site. Amiga can be true 256bit and have 64core each with 256 bit enclosed one cpu ..then mix and match cpus ppc, Itanium ,and the older parisc..alpha, and sgi ..via toaster oven.based on the Amiga 4000..which was originally based on amiga os3.1 and even amiga os 2.1
