oldskoolPunk: Oh do you think its more complicated because it is harder to use, or because things are just in different places? From screenshots it looks to me like they tried to make it look more like Android for some reason, using big blocky icons and such. Does it have a "classic" mode ?

Jay Rowe: I really like Linux (OpenSUSE) with the KDE desktop because I find that it runs much better overall than Windows in terms of stability and updating. At work I use Win7 with Autodesk Civil3D for up to 12 hours a day and it runs ok; at home I dual boot Win7 and OpenSUSE 13.2 on swappable hard drives and I find myself using Linux 95% of the time. Usually I boot Win7 just to keep it updated.

lostnthenight: I really do like linux, love playing with it, but when push comes to shove i want a simple os that i dont need to type stuff in order to download and install. I think that right there is a huge reason most people dont wanna switch to linux.

canadastitan: With any version of Linux there always is a software center or pakage manager where you can get any software application that you only need to click to install and authorize with your password to install...and almost any software application that you get is free..If people would realize that its only click to install free suftware they might switch to linux

lostnthenight: Rumor has it as anyone with retail version of windows 7 and windows 8.1 can get windows 10 for free. Not sure if that will happen or not.

Jay Rowe: The Windows 10 deal is a free upgrade for the first year for owners of Win7 and Win8. I may try it, but I'm just fine with Linux for free.
