Sports "News" vs. Real News Reporting

happywesty
happywesty: Everyone in sports these days is hung up on giving you their opinion rather than just reporting the sports news. Case in point: I go to ANY of the major sports news websites and their main articles are about opinions or analysis given by their staff members.

Example: Having just learned that the Dolphins beat the Falcons I went to the NFL home pages on the Fox Sports News website to see if someone has written up an article on it yet. What do I find? An article telling me how the writer thinks that Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in history! Where is real NEWS on the games?

Go to any channel that covers sports and its a bunch of guys having "Male Hen Session" yakking at each other and (most of them) each trying to talk faster than the other guy so he can get his opinion in. Now I know that they only have limited time but its a joke. I appreciate the guys that just listen and then insert something really meaningful.

Sports news is a joke. Boxing will dominate the sports websites front page during the World Series or NBA Finals. Boxing is minor to me compared to major sports. It always will be. And that coming from a guy that grew up listening to or watching Mohammed Ali and Joe Frazier fight.

I don't follow sports news to a T.
I watch the game and listen to the closing highlights and discussions, and that's about it.

If you watching live sports games shut the volume to zero
You will just enjoy the game to the fullest and not listening to bullshiit
