The second one is fighting Tito Ortiz and the first one is Fighting Frank Mir. Both events on UFC 140. So yes you facts were almost perfectly correct. There is no avoiding him or keeping distance cause Nick has longer reach than George by the way. And his boxing is sick not to mention his Cardio cause he does triathlon races. As for the Ground i think George would take it there cause he has better chances. Not the advantage though. this is one of the 50-50 we talked about. Diaz is a black belt under the Gracies so that means a lot. George is still that explosive and athletic powerhouse at 170 but he has never faced an opponent like Diaz. he pushes the pace like no other and he can last for a long time. Azimuth_Predator: Answer to your first paragraph. When i say he comes in to fight i mean "in your face type of fighter". GSP is clearly a Strategic fighter. Which is a good thing. For example. When he fought Jakes shields he wanted to stand up and he did, using distance with that awesome jab of his, so he managed to keep 90% of the fight standing. win via decision. Gsp vs Koscheck: Distance with that Jab, and take downs at the right time when Josh thought it was a kick boxing match. He dictated that fight at 70% so a win via decision there. Gsp vs Dan Hardy: GSP took this fight to the ground and kept it there cause he wanted nothing with Dan"s stand up. So he controlled him on the ground at 100%. Win Via Decision 3 good examples of GSP"s versatility. But Nick Diaz has evolved trumendesly the last 3 years. He just comes in banging with his opponents making it a close distance boxing match and his pushes the pace and he goes on and on. His cardio is sick!! As for the ground he is super flexible and moves really well so Gsp would have to be really careful there. He is awesome on his back and that the first place he is going to be if GSP takes him there. For me its a 55-45 to Diaz. Azimuth_Predator: Gsp is well rounded but so is Diaz. Nick has better stand up and he pushes the pace like no other in that division. As for dictating the fight, yea GSP has the edge there due to his strength and versatility as well. But he will try to stick around Nicks Guard so he can land some shots as he postures up which will earn him points. He wont be able to pass it though. And he cant get comfortable cause Diaz is really good on his back not to mention he is a Gracie black belt. It"s a 50-50 fight. As for Condit, he is the underdog but Diaz is a beast! We shall see.
