NFL Predictions (Page 3) MaryEllen2: OSC, I don't think that i'm allowed to go for the Dolphins...I don't think they're even allowed to sell Dolphins gear here in Buffalo. lol Ya know what, at least they finally pulled Trent as the starting QB...he should've never been starter to begin with. And this weekend will be slightly fun again to see how things go (better) without him. KrAsH: Memo to coach sparano - If your 1st and goal with the running game you have at your disposal *run the football* The phins walked in a touch down earlier, what was he thinking? StuckInTheSixties: For like the sixth or seventh year in a row, the Niners are looking for a new offensive coordinator. I might apply for the gig. KrAsH: *wanted* An nfl specials team that doesnt give up a td on kick off returns, fail at field goal and punt attempts all in the one quarter!! *sighs* KrAsH: Week 5 musings Dallas cowboys s~xy$* defeat from the jaws of victory again and their fans go more rabid than usual Pats who have the bye, announce tom brady will be starring in *hair 2* <<<< the real reason randy moss left The lions win 1st game of the season 44-6 as 2 indian bookmakers from the sub continent are spotted in the st.louis coaching box <<< Coincidence i think not Dolphins have the bye and their special teams still give up 17 points <<< WTF!! The bills after being flogged again by the jags, are at least happy to announce a new major signing *acme doormats* And at the time of writing this philly goes up 17-7 late in the 2nd quarter <<< Watches sits shake fist vigorously before giving out a deep *sigh* nekromancer07: what happened to the niners? Thought Mad Mike would get them better. Season not over, but the better win the next few. Bears are 4-1, and easily could be 1-4. Sometimes it's just luck and a few bad calls from the refs. StuckInTheSixties: I'm beginning to have doubts about Coach Singletary. I think the problems start at the top of the organization. Niners' ownership sucks, and the suckiness has worked its way down from the top, and now permeates the entire organization. StuckInTheSixties: The Niners actually won a game yesterday, beating the lowly Raiders in The Battle of the Bay. Wonders never cease. KrAsH: Fins s*^#x% victory from the jaws of defeat Cowboys yet again sw$z%$ defeat from the jaws of victory And the concussion rule is confusing me A player can leave the field concussed and come back on,but he has to past test during the week to play next week?? StuckInTheSixties: I was listening to a discussion about the rash of concussions that happened this weekend. The conclusion that some people are coming to, and that I share: The problem is bad, and growing. The currently used means to try to curtail the problem, fines for illegal hits, is ineffective. What is needed is a penalty with bite: Suspensions. If a player gets a $10,000 fine, it's just overhead. If he has to sit out several games (and forfeit his pay), he'll pay more attention to his technique. KrAsH: Yeh i heard and read about the same discussion.. Apparently they (nfl) are going to have a pow wow with defensive coaches soon concerning the lack of tackling technique and the preference for blowing up receivers with heavy hits. StuckInTheSixties: It happens to runners too. If they could only somehow stop the head-to-head-contact stuff from happening ... KrAsH: There gonna say more on wednesday about it. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/*******7/nfl-considering-suspensions-for-violent-head-hits KrAsH: Just watched the replays of the 3 hits that players were fined for 2x $50,000 and 1x $75,000 And in all 3 i noticed the defenders just before impact dropping their chins.. Now having never had to tackle with a helmet on,is that leading with the helmet and/or self preservation? If yes to both,do the nfl err on the side of leading with the helmet when unable to prove intent? KrAsH: I dont even want to discuss this weeks events Wont mention the word *robbed* at all!! Though i will poke fun at the cowboys later on | Sports Chat Room Similar Conversations |
