There's more to football than raw aggression….it is one of the most strategized games out there. Only a truly naive and ignorant person would think there is no skill of intellect in the game….cold hard truth. Real men don't chicken out from aggressive sports. FogofWar: "as far as Eggball goes... so wat if they uuse strategy its still too aggressive." Then stick to soccer….and might I suggest figure skating instead of hockey… "if u want to play like real men why dont ya play witout Da extra padding and eqipment.... Rugby players seem to coupe well to it…." If you want to stand on the field with these guys and no padding; be my guest. When do rugby players coupe with hits 6 times the g-force of a 100km head on car crash? The reason for the padding is so that they don't have to hold back….it's so that they can tackle the guy like they are trying to tear through him and crush him; and not kill him….even with the padding; football games see more than one injury a game. "So in the end Football is Soccer the same... and a krypted wanna be of Rugby is not Football(eggball)... Bottom line USA/Canada only call it Soccer.. while the Rest of the Whole World Calls it Football... A game in which using hand plays a major role sholud never be called Football" It was England that originated the term Soccer, from Association Football, which standardized their own rules. Rugby standardized different rules to football; and it was that version that was adapted into American Football. You can thank England for us North Americans calling it soccer. "Wel dude in Real Football played around the world... they use hand like Throw in's, Setting up freekicks, Goal keeper etc.... so we should call it Hand ball.. rite.... yes Hand Ball is going to be another word for Soccer…" The American football is shaped for a reason; to fit your foot when kicking it. It is shaped to the contour of your foot; hence they kept the name….get over it. "lol get over it dude.... The real football has existed way before The egyptians (look it up).. and we have every right to call it Football and Football only!" Yes, but they didn't call it football; they called it Episkyros, which means commonball; or in Roman; Harpastum, which essentially means handball. So I guess if that's the case we should call it handball and not soccer. Oh, and by the way, Harpastum was a full contact sport in which the objective was to steal the ball to your side (kind of like your endzone if you will); and tackle the person carrying the ball….so really, it kinda more resembles American Football than soccer. But who cares….what does it matter if we call it football? The name originated at the same time; as both sports derived from the same parent sport. What's it matter? Call it soccer if you want; call it football….does anyone really care that much? I do play hockey. I'm Canadian. Football is a world sport the world plays it...just admit Canada and America can't play it as well as the rest of the world. Russia has their own league; Scandinavia has their own league, North America has their own league and Europe has their own league. There is also international world leagues like the world cup, IIHF. Who cares if the world likes soccer; no one in North America cares to be good at it. I'll stick to dominating hockey and American Football.  Malobear: O,Jack, Im sure you are aware how many people live in the USA and Canada. So there is more than enough talent here to compete at any sport you wish to talk about. Its just the USA and Canada choose not to focus on that style of football just as I have never seen a european ever take to bull riding. Its just not their gig. As I said, I really enjoy watching world style football and to be honest,theres alot of kids here that like playing it,even though they call it Soccer.Its just it never really goes beyond the college level. In any sport there must be a fan base,if that doesnt exsist than its hopeless. There is other sports I love to watch in Europe and worldwide,but because these sports dont sell ad spots on the TV and the fan base is few here, I have to find it elsewhere and the effort is always worth it †Jack☠OfHearts†™: Typical N.Americans *shakes head* Blinded to the rest of the world.
