The curse of Oak Island

farmallfarms
farmallfarms: Interesting show mostly because I am in the drilling business and can relate to the machinery and technology they are using . Does anyone think they will ever find the motherload they don't even know exists ? WOW they pour some serious cash into that treasure hunt. Would love to land a drilling contract with them.

The giant midget
The giant midget: Cheap entertainment
I have a friend that worked on site 1st season
Equipment is given to the set as advertising material for the month long filming.
100 % of the production is payed by several federal government agencies.
All accommodation / hospitality expenses are covered by the government tourism agency
Transportation is covered by Transport Canada
The production team keeps all revenues from sales to media networks and advertising
Sweet deal for the crew .
They make a few million per season only costing the crew members pennies

They generate more money if that non existing gold ever happen to miraculously appears

farmallfarms: It was very intriguing at first and I still enjoy it but the novelty sort of wears off when you think of how likely it is that those that gave up searching in the past would have introduced items of interest to the site to build up interest and value . Sort of like if you believe in something strong enough you will do just about anything to try to make it seem true. It would have been an exciting adventure for sure.

The giant midget
The giant midget: That's the different things about American and Canadian productions
Canadians don't know how to promote and market anything,it just becomes lame and old within hours of filming ,meanwhile if it's a American production they make sure that the world is glued to the tv screen for days on end , they will promote it so much that you will forget to attend uncle Timmy Petes Jr. Golden retrievers Baptism
USA TV weather reports are more captivating than a news thicker that our prime minister Justin Trudeau is pregnant
