I attempted to watch it one afternoon and by the end I found myself filled with a mixture of disgust and depression. That show is a monument to everything that is wrong with the world. Ed Bone: well when you have people like Pauly and Mike who are 30 and 34...you obviously have nothing going for you in life if you're so obsessed with drama and hooking up with girls half your age lol. it's definitely funny to watch and laugh at, but funny how many people aspire to be like them (act like them, talk like them, do what they do). kinda sad MultifariousEntity: It doesn't matter how old they are. I guarantee you I could compose a very long list of the ways that gorillas are more civilized and have more self control than they do. The are negative role models of the worst kind and shouldn't be allowed to be shown on public media that children and the highly impressionable masses have access to. ~LoisLane~: Well Multi, if people dont like the show they can always change the channel and watch something else thats more educational. MultifariousEntity: Whether someone likes it or not is irrelevant. It's the fact that it portrays a very poor lifestyle as something that is normal. ~LoisLane~: Oh god big deal. What show these days doesnt do that. Its not really that important. To these people what they are doing is"normal". If a camera followed you around at that age, what would they have seen. ~LoisLane~: If you drink and party and like to go to bars. Imagine the things a camera would see and hear. MultifariousEntity: It's still not even close to the rampant idiocy show on that show. I remember reading on a website that based on the number of people the male cast have slept with, statistically speaking, at least 2 of them have at least 3 STDs, and there was something like a 70% chance that it's double that. I'm not sure if it accounted for condoms and what not though... I'll have to try to find it again. A N G E L: Why do i even keep clicking and reading the new post all this is making it NOT fun *removes self from post* retaardvark: I personally have not seen the show, but I can see how some people can be addicted to watching it, yet despise the people and their actions. It's like going to the zoo and coming upon the area where they keep the Bonobos and witnessing their oddly human sexual behavior and finding it simultaneously disgusting and fascinating. And then you begin thinking to yourself, "Those filthy, god-forsaken beasts! But they're so human-like..." I'd go crazy if i had roomies that fought, gossiped, & had too many random faces coming in & out. However, Jersey Shore is entertaining. It amuses us to watch a bunch of grown people act like college students. The show is a good past time like watching a soap opera. Best of luck to them but I'm not really a huge fan of the cast. |
