Science is always trying to prove the existence of the "writings" in the bible, i think some have been somewhat proven, Gomorrah, the parting of the red sea....all through science. As for the Myan calendar it is amazing and Nostradamus' quatrains have been interpreted as truth, and as in the Book of Daniel and Revelation, all is speculative; one cannot dismiss everything outright. I believe that 2012 may be a turning point for our world.....from that date who knows what will happen. guess who: when everyone on here is pulling their information from some shit on a google search then yes he is a joke just like religious websites and atheist websites you may worship hawkins but you really should investigate for yourself and stop letting this turd tell you what he thinks you should know. guess who: Once again I would love to comment further, but i am having trouble reading your illiterate post. As for Steven Hawkins I have seen many an interview and based my assumption on him from those. As for the scientific rationale of proving if Gomorrah etc there was a documentary on History.....so even though i have used media....i don't just download from internet. OH, however, I have read many books on Michel de Nostredam guess who: Ever study theology it goes way beyond the bible? I was forced to and was totally surprised how evil religion really is. There is way more behind it than most so called followers actually know, that is why I laugh at and make fun of people in these religious forums who think just because they read a book or two in the bible and go to church once in awhile they know all there is too know, I have also read enough regurgitated garbage from websites in here to last me a lifetime. If it wasn't for Darwin and Hawkins most of you people would not have anything at all to say. g_g_: reality check.....we were just talking about a tv show, you changed it to something more...so have it. guess who: Exactly most people in this forum are talking solely on what they heard on the history channel, or some lame ass web-site made up by lovers of their own truth which is the problem with religious web-sites including sites about Hawkins and Darwin people just love to confuse the facts or should I say remove them completely and replace them with garbage. MattyD89: wtaching the discovery channell, the history channell, and nation geographic can actually teach a lot. just the viewer must be aware of what they are watching a lot of the time... many times it is all skepulation garbage (the nostradomous effect), but you can also learn form shows such as Life, Wilf Russia, MANY science shows on discovery, SOME good documentaries on the history chanel that document well. but mainly these things on tv can inspire to look up wih books and articles on the internet. you cannot discard information you hear or see o nthe internet or television it is a good learning tool. ive learnt more downloading 100s of documentaries from bbc and national geo n such then i ever did in school. guess who: The only problem with web sites is anyone can post anything regardless of the validity just to justify what they believe it is like the bible no copywrite and not held to any standard of truth. MattyD89: yes thats why you must be very aware of wher you are gettnig your information from on the internet. there are very valid sites and internet publishers. its the same with tv, some documentaries and shows are very biased but if you know where to look you can learn a lot  Murrh: DIscovery channel is terrible.. no tentative language, claim they know whats at the centre of the sun.. as a sure thing. Responsible programming would say 'it is thought to be..' it's possible that... etc. Been really unhappy with discoveries absolute terms on science that is as yet so far from being law or principle, claim the answers and stop the viewer wondering.
