What do you think about genderfluid people? (Page 6)

Scarcastic
Scarcastic: Megnafied, while that may be true biologically, the same applies to your mind also. If you feel like you are a female, then that's how you feel. You will only be faking if you try to act masculine when you feel you are feminine etc. Genderfluid applies to your sexual identity, not your physical sex. Most genderfluid people only have just the one physical sex which doesn't change. It's their sexual identity that is fluid. Nothing wrong with that

Scarcastic: If you ask me, the people who allow themselves to be labeled and fit into boxes of predefined gender-role stereotypes, rather than understanding and defining themselves to the full depth of the complexities of gender identity, are the ones who don't know who or what they are...

xylance: Errrr did I mention boring. People who wish to tell you about their gender fluidness tend to think its an interesting topic when it's really not.

Scarcastic: Then why do you keep coming back to the thread?

Scarcastic: Someone who is truely disinterested in a topic would avoid it, or at very least not make such an effort to continue revisiting threads about it. Therefore one can only assume you take interest in the topic. It can only be speculated as to why; To troll individuals in order to give yourself a false sense of a boosted self worth and gratification? Or perhaps a closeted curiosity in non-binary gender identity and sexuality? Both seem quite plausible possibilities.

flappes_flappy_ears: @xylance that's very rude and narrow minded. As far as I'm concerned, it's the bigoted people who disrespect others that are the wishy washy people. I've hidden myself away for the last two years since I realized I was genderfluid. Only now am I expressing myself.

Here is an example of a famous person who is genderfluid

Plumpcherry: We were defined when we were born. ‘Penis = it’s a boy, virgina= it’s a girl. After childhood.

I’m 18 now, I’m feeling like I wanna be a girl. So I choose to start acting girly

It’s a choice when the mind decides to pick different avenues.

flappes_flappy_ears: I come from a town where everything is, or seems to be, several decades behind. Back when there was a big gender division and any mixing of the genders was ridiculous. Back in the late 60s, early 70s, my mother (who had short hair) was mistaken for a boy, and she was offended. Now, around 2008, I decided I wanted long curly hair (I was born male). My mother had always cut my hair very short, in a typical llanelli style. My mother accepted it, but always wanted me to have it in a scruffy style "to look more boyish". I always rejected of course. I have been, and still do sometimes, get seen as a girl, and it pleases me a lot. I always used to be interested in toys aimed at girls too, which was accepted by my mother, but slightly mocked by my stepfather. However, lots of other things were, and still are, mocked and laughed at by my mother. Then, after my 16th Birthday I knew there was something different about me, but I didn't know what, but I knew I didn't feel completely male. I began looking up things about it, trying to find out what it was, then I found a forum about genderfluidity, and I knew that was what I am. Genderfluid. However, it hasn't been any easier, it's been even harder if anything. My stepfather is very homophobic and transphobic, and my mother, who says she is accepting of the lgbtq+ community, she still laughs at anything to do with any mixing of the genders, even situations such as if I pick up her coat by mistake. I tried to tell my mother about it at christmas, but she kept on thinking I was saying I was schizophrenic or something. I have started expressing myself more recently however, as ive restyled my hair back in april, and doing facial yoga which can help get a better face shape, and most recently I've started getting rid of hair. I had more hair than normal, (on arms legs stomach), and removed most of it last week. My mother noticed, and said "be careful, otherwise you'll look really stupid". Why I ask? I'm also doing my eyebrows properly this Friday. I just hope from now I can just keep on expressing myself more and more. So that's basically my story.

Plumpcherry: Choice. It’s your right to make whatever choices you feel are right for you.

People have choices to title themselves and everything else.

It doesn’t mean it’s natural. It doesn’t mean everyone comply with it.

What it does mean “Are you 💯 % satified wirh the choice(es) you have made for yourself.

flappes_flappy_ears: @The flying squirrel, well you're obviously very narrow minded. And you really need to get out more, as god doesn't exist. I believe in Santa more than I believe him. And it was myself who realized I was genderfluid, no one told me. This forum is for support, not for narrow minded bigots like you.

Free shoots when it’s public.
A wide platform for debating.

Especially if you’r forums are public instead of private.
