Your whole premise was that this case proves that trans people enter bathrooms to cause harm to women. The fact that it was the girl who chose the bathroom not this guy, totally blows away this example you offered to prove your theory. I asked for other examples that this is a trend of hostile trans women in bathrooms. Crickets! Ya got nuttin right? I've talked to folks like you before. If I answer a question and it turns out you were wrong, you would never admit it, you just shift the ground to avoid. I never said the rape didn't happen, you made that up. As for feeling inferior to you, I try to help people, I work with people with disabilities, I respect people who aren't typical in our society. I'm not wonderful, but I try to be kind. My premise, actually, is that women are vulnerable to rape as it is. Inviting men into women’s bathrooms only makes it easier for rapists to isolate their victims. I don’t think that can be denied. I am concerned about and advocating for…. women! A rapist can easily pretend to be trans to gain access to women’s bathrooms. I don’t know how anyone could deny this. In this case, in fact, the rapist wore a skirt into the girl’s bathroom. I know because your NY Times article (which i found on my own - you’re welcome) admitted “The boy was indeed wearing a skirt”. Whether he was trans or not is immaterial to me. Whether the bathroom policy allowed transgenders at the time or not is immaterial to me. Whether he was invited in is immaterial to me. None of that negates that the policy allows men into girl’s bathrooms. The policy makes it easier for rapists to rape girls in bathrooms. Girls should be protected. The fact that a girl was raped in the bathroom AND THEN THEY CHANGED THE POLICY to allow men into girl’s bathrooms is, to me, even WORSE than if they changed the policy before the rape. Sorry for your troubles, in your life and on wire. In my opinion, regarding wire, the reality is…. The people who run Wire try to NOT get involved. Mods are allowed to do as they please, it’s their room. They can boot you from a room for no reason at all, or simply because they suck. I imagine this has happened to most of us, me included.
