Tarot Reading & Dream Interpretation cyclerider: Hucksterism, hucksterism. There, I feel much better, I've had that nagging need to say it all day. Sometimes you have a feeling, you don't know where it is from but you need to do something. Hucksterism. Sometimes nothing else will do than to say to yourself (or anyone who might hear), the word hucksterism. yossic00: Tarot reading is a hoax, don't believe it. For true fortune telling you should use tasseography. LaceyGirl: I'm not sure if leaves can tell the future. Its a little well.....random object, don't you think. Rasputina: Love, love the Tarot and I find it to be about 80% accurate. You just have to put readings in the right perspective and one can get a lot of value from it! meanderingthoughts2: I am unsure where I stand on the accuracy for future-telling with tarot reading/dream interpretations, but I personally employ both techniques occasionally in order to re-examine aspects/circumstances in my life. Consider for a moment, when a problem arises, you sit with your tea and contemplate it over in your mind. Tarot/Dream interpretation is a method that draws on visual clues/emotions to offer different insights into various situations/relationships. I especially enjoy tarot for its storytelling properties. I tend to do large layouts and by connecting the various images and meanings in front of me I develop a story and I reflect on this later on. I ask myself; Why that story?; Coincidence or did my mind sub-consiously mirror the conclusions I desire/fear/anticipate, ect. I enjoy dream work because (this may sound odd) but I find dreams not very visual, but rather deeply emotional, ie. I feel more than I see in dreams. The chance to experience emotions you normally withdraw from or unable to explore is both healthy and insightful into your own psyche. Rogue: I'm new and I made a club for tarot, if any of you want to join. It would be nice to have some members. gayle50: interesting way to describe how you "feel your dreams", Meandering - I would say I do that too... Your comment has given me something to think about.....Thankyou... nurse_kaz: tarot reading/dreams and whatnot... you dont need to take anything seriouslu. i look at it as fun lol ArisTonia: i am interesting in tarot and something like that... i wanna someone can predict my future.... anyone can predict it? Bree: tarot cards r selective thru animal magnetism.....u get the same cards almost everytime... the cards pick up on ur energy HardcoreHerbivore: I love Tarot cards. An easy way for the blind to go. A clever path for the fools who know the secret of the hanged man the smile on his lips. -- Iron Maiden Isolt: No divination toold can truly tell you your future... they are only just that... tools... the future isnt written... but the tools you use can tell you how things are going to to be if you continue on your current path... but they can also tell you how to change things to make things better HardcoreHerbivore: I love the "fool"card and the "hanged man" card and the story that goes with each of them. The fool on his journey for the meaning of life stops and sits under a tree.He says to himself that he will not move from that spot until he finds the answers that he seeks. He decides to climb up the tree and hang upside down.Hanging upside down he looks at the world from a different view and realizes that he had been looking at things the wrong way.All of his money falls out out of his pockets symbolizing that he lets go of material wealth .(sounds very similar to the story of Buddha). Isolt: I have a few different decks... they all tell the same story... but in very different ways as each type of art work tells of different view points HardcoreHerbivore: Yea,I have seen that there are many different styles.I used to have a deck a long time ago but being the drifter that I am I lost it some how.I will probably get another one someday. I have been thinking about trying out a reading from a pro and plan on doing that very soon. I actually know very little about tarot but I find it very interesting. I have noticed that a single crow or raven is common to find on the death card. Isolt: crows are the protectors or guides to the underworld... they are suppose to guide us safely to our next life...or something like that... one of my favorite card in the deck as it means starting over... The only card in there with a truly negative meaning is the tower... | Self-Improvement Chat Room Similar Conversations |
