BelgianStrider: It is not because you are "just a high school educated hack" that you are unable to have any "ratio" (Latin for "logic thinking" )...
Edison was even not a high school educated hack.
Einstein had to get private tuition because he was a "high school failure" (and he stopped high school btw) to enter the university.
His first entrance exams was a "complete disaster", it is due to his exceptional results in science that the head of that university convoked Einstein and made him clear that other things like language and other topics that Einstein considered in his youth as unnecessary burden had some importance. The rest ... well it is history of course. He passed the second trial with brio and he spent some time in a Swiss patenting office .

BelgianStrider: Ghandi could not been married at 14 he was a whole time a lawyer (and it seems a damn good one) in S. Africa as bachelor.
So I don't think you are lawyer at 14.
May be proposed at that age - what was a without any doubt an Indian custom at that time - arranged marriages

MJ59: Found this:
His concept of Truth as God and ahimsaas a sense of identificationwith all creation, attained through self-purification, was in line with theteaching of Lord Buddha. He wrote at the end of his Autobiography; “...a perfect vision of Truth can only follow a complete realization of ahim-sa... identification with everything that lives is impossible without self-purification... God can never be realized by one who is not pure ofheart.”

MJ59: Kasturba and Gandhi were married when he was 13 and she 14 years old. Certainly, it was an arranged marriage common in these areas. Recalling that wedding, Gandhi once said that for them, the children-newlyweds, it mainly meant wearing new clothes, eating sweets and playing with relatives. His newly-wed wife at first spent a lot of time with her parents, which was customary then. However, they were obviously in contact, because their first child was born when Gandhi was only 15 years old. Unfortunately, the child died after only a few days. Later they had four more children, all of them sons.

Important is the fact that Gandhi and Kasturba stayed faithful to their marriage for over 60 years, until her death at the age of 74. Gandhi died less than three years after his wife.

that means? no offence was he Hindu with strong Buddhist conviction? or was he Buddhist with Hindu "convictions" for "political reasons"

What I observed is that his attitude was mostly Buddhistic.

Several conclusions:

First: I have to admit that I don't know Indian customs and surely not those in end 19 begin 20 century

Second: and that has been also proved, arranged marriage do not exclude love, though that does not mean a white pass.

Third: the marriage seemed to be consumed at a very young age - what implies that morality seems to follow some "natural laws" like the evolution of the longevity of humans - in the middle ages in Europe the marriages happened also at very young ages (well when the life-expectancy was some 30 - 40 years (surprisingly some religious zealots does not seem to realise that the life expectancy has increased a little more nowadays).

Conclusion: Mahatma Ghandi was happy with his wife, question was his wife as happy I wish her so
