AchillesSinatra: You don't need to worry then.

Now, what topics that you know absolutely nothing about do you intend to lecture on today, professor?

zeffur: zeffur: Re: "Pascal's Wager is a fallacy. Change my mind."

No, Pascal's wager is not a fallacy. A fallacy is:
1. a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound argument.
2. a failure in reasoning which renders an argument invalid.
3. faulty reasoning; misleading or unsound argument.

Pascal's wager is valid & therefore not a mistaken belief that is based on unsound reasoning or argument, if the following conditions are met:

1. There is only one possible God that can or can't exist.
2. You loose nothing by believing in God, but can gain everything by doing so--meaning that it is 100% certain that you go to heaven, if you believe in God.

What is God really asking of you?? To have faith that He exists, that He is always right/true/perfect, & to be/do what is right/true/good for yourself & for others as you wish--vs the possible alternatives...

What kind of dummy would value rejecting a true & loving God & eternal life with other people who are wise enough to choose what is right/true/good over what is wrong/untrue/bad/evil?? It's like being offered 2 plates to eat from. One plate has good delicious food on it & the other has manure on it. You're free to decide which plate you will eat from--what kind of dummy would choose the manure??

zeffur: re: "Is Creationism is a mental illness"?

Only if you are an evolutioner who is mentally incapable of deductively processing all of the available information & arriving at the sound conclusion that life could only come into existence via the application of intelligence by a Creator--since there is virtually no reasonable possibility that nature could have created life without such an intelligent Creator.

AchillesSinatra: Why are you posting on Pascal's wager in every thread?

Have you written to Santa Claus about it yet?

zeffur: It isn't posted to every forum--just to a few that I think may be interested in reading it--my writing isn't just for your benefit, Colin.
