Alternative Energy Sources (Page 4)
kittybobo34: Fortunately sea water is a good radiation stopper.,, Except for the occasional GODZILLA .
The flying Squirrel: Yeah I reckon that Green New Deal there always on about In the states , Is to get rid of the dependcy on Oil , But the Petrolium Lobby is so Strong
kittybobo34: That is one thing I credit to Obama, he broke the Oil Companies grip, Got solar and wind going, now they can compete.
kittybobo34: Now you have to watch out for the con men selling energy at a seemingly low price, then hitting you with high costs later on.
The flying Squirrel: aaguy was on AOL went you aaguy . All the grammar natzies and people who think they own the place did come from AOL from what I can figure out
kittybobo34: The SNAP reactor that we were working on at GE was just that, a thorium reactor made out of its own fuel to save weight. I have no doubt it could be the fuel of the future
kittybobo34: It's a cutthroat world of capitalism out there. Tesla was smart, but not business wise.
kellyfarr: Actually elon musk is a genius. Tesla is a play company for him....his manifest basically says when other car manufacturer's catchup in the electric race tesla is done. Also 90 billion dollar contract with the defense department, public trading is the highest valued stock of all car manufacturers and next year tesla becomes the number 1 car manufacturer in the world and toyota has already conceded that title to tesla......
For less than 10 years in business.....thats actually incredible.
kellyfarr: also there is all sorts of solar tech available out there. Its pricey so people will have to determine what works best for them, but why pay oil companys to screw you if your paying utilities on a house u own for the next 30 years....your dumb not to go solar.
There r solar charge options for e bikes, e motorbikes and cars....there r so many options its literally quite mind boggling and staggering.
Come 2022 the tech actually has blown my mind a bit. Hyundai accent will have a built in solar panel that has the vehicle constantly charging and goes 1600km on one charge. No combustion engine can do that. its coming and its coming because it was mandated in the kyoto accord. 2028 i do believe is the date most countries set for car manufacturers to go solely electric for production.
theHating: Also the tesla roadster provides 100% of its torque 100% of the time. No combustion engine can do it.
The flying Squirrel: Yeah its good its being looked into again cos the research and development has been shelved for 100years still a long way to go tho before its all viable
kittybobo34: The new battery designs offer 2x as much power as the older Lithium batteries, and nearly 0% chance of burning and exploding like the older ones too.
