stirrersays: (I think this sums up this topic)

I heard an announcement on the radio last year that made me laugh,

When a drought was declared in a small rural town of Australia a priest from a city church group said on the news that they were going there in busses to hold a special prayer session in the town hall to pray for rain, He said more than 500 were signed up so far to be taken there, He said that all were welcome to attend and bus seats were still available,

Then came the very funny part,

The priest said that on the day they would be collecting donations that would be used to support people in the local area with mental illness,

Wordy and Fun: Well Stirrey - Did Obama take up religion when he started running for office? Did any of them that i listed ?
Or maybe you think they knew when they were younger and sitting in a church that they knew they were running for office later so they became religious?

You used the term "imaginary friend" not I - But thanks for the reply

Wordy and Fun: The real question is why do you care about so much about what others think?
Is anyone forcing you to believe in anything?
In your opinion anyone who believes in any God is what not intelligent?
You do realize that a huge percentage of people believe in something right?

A new Pew Research Center survey of more than 4,700 U.S. adults finds that one-third of Americans say they do not believe in the God of the Bible, but that they do believe there is some other higher power or spiritual force in the universe. A slim majority of Americans (56%) say they believe in God “as described in the Bible.” And one-in-ten do not believe in any higher power or spiritual force.

The religious affiliation patterns in the sample of Australians who completed the 2018 Australian Community Survey by NCLS Research are close to the national figures: 52% Christianity (including 19% Catholic), and 8% indicated a religion other than Christianity. Almost four in 10 (38%) had no religion and 2% preferred not to say.

Who knew 60% of Australians are stupid right Stirrey?

stirrersays: By the way, I am baptized roman catholic when i was a baby, does that mean im supposed to go around saying that I love the roman catholic church and what they stand for because a priest splashed some water on my head to indoctrinate me into their church before i could even talk, religion is a business like any other and they will try and get as many people on the books as they can as the money will be rolling in, (Churches could end world hunger, vaccinate people from diseases, end homelessness) if they choose but they never will as they are keeping the money for themselves, Where does all the money go, Only a small percentage is taken out of the purse for charity, The money is sent up the ladder to the elderly priests to build gold palaces and give them fine foods so they can reside in luxury,

You want to believe so bad that u joined a club that is all about collecting money, they are extorting you through fear of the beliefs that they taught you,, they want to keep u as long as possible until u have nothing left to give, they will then take your children and your children's children forever taxing them through fear and extortion, So think twice before joining a cult,
