Were all of the true believers & followers of the preCatholic church deceived?? No of course they were not. What's happened since the early church (i.e. the body of Christ believing in & following Jesus teachings) is the homogenization of Catholicism--which has corrupted The Body of Christ with the doctrine of men... They've inserted themselves between people & God to exploit the people--which is corrupt & terribly tragic...
