Creationism is a mental illness (Page 273)

BelgianStrider: Well I gave a clear example about a quotation presented here by you (or JX - I think it is from you) where you clearly cherry- picked it out of context. I gave the whole context where you cherry-picked the "quotations" and after all: when reading "everything" it was clearly NOT telling at all what YOU pretended to be!!!

I am quite certain if we would dig futher in all the quotations you mentionned we will come to that conclusion!

Now when you talk about science and you come with something speaking about history. I don't know, but for me that seems to be two different subjects completely without any relation outside that one speaks about the "history of science".

I can also gave some clear frustations we had when we were tutored about physics with mathematics that would be tutored a year later! Does it change anything to the validity of the used mathematics or the validity what we were taught? I don't think so !!!!!!
That's factually what you are doing! Just mentionning a guy that was a (little) frustrated how QM was presented THAT TIME! Does that change anything about QM itself ?????
It is still a weird speciality with extreme weird mathematical models and predictions that are discovered (by change) decades later. The Higgs boson is a clear example of that !!!!

Oh; specialist are "discussing" about "details" in their speciality, that means the "theory" has to be a flaw!!!!! Where the heck is there any logic in it ?????

"PE has to contradict GE", oh YEAAAAHHHHHH, Where the heck is that mentionned in actual ToE ?????? We gave clear evidence it is not the case !!!!!!

"The sun will become a black hole"! You, axo, even defended JX in that statement! We gave clear evidence it is NOT the case. It is only AFTER that, that the back-peddling started. NOT BEFORE!!!!

Shall we continue with all the "scientific crap" you both try to spread?

Do you both really think you both have presented till now any CREDIBILITY in mathematics, physics, astrophysics, QM and "Evolution" ?????????

BelgianStrider: Typical "creationist's" behaviour: trying to ridiculise and if that does not work "ad hominem" !!!!
That is ok.
Though, showing clearly they are idiots: is not done; then they became poor persecuted christians.

Oh by the way, historically there has never been really and willingfully persecution of christians only prosecutions. That is clearly a myth! "Martyrdom" is not a christian invention, "Dying well and nobly" was a extreme old concept before the birth of jc !!!!

Geoff: The fact that you're a dangerous person?

Biology and psychology have determined the youngest age that human beings should be engaged in sexual activity. And the law has been written in the last century to accommodate that.

But, you think that science is ALWAYS in flux, therefore you should be allowed to ignore that.

I mean, we've had 150 years of people with a really powerful and wealthy organisation working to disprove Evolution, and they've failed miserably. Science itself found a better way to define gravity in that time (btw, Newton's equations were good enough to land Apollo 11 on the moon).

Science is about "Where's the money?" And you seem to be on the side of "the money should be spent on grooming children."

And racists and fascists deserve nothing but a punch in the face.

Colin, read actual science, not just "philosophy of science" bullshit written by people who don't actually understand science after the 18th century.

Don't read Dawkins, Dawkins is a dick. Try Christopher Hitchens. Not his dumbass little brother.

Or Rosalind Franklin's work? You should love her work, she was robbed of a Nobel.

You know what's so ironic in all this? I have quoted time and time again from physicists, evolutionary biologists, and so forth, to support my various positions.

Er, yes, I do read these books, dude. What do you think I do: just skim for quotes?

Guess what, though? Seems I'm the only person here who HAS read them.

I find myself debating our resident "science experts" who proceed to argue the merits and demerits of punctuated equilibrium, say, or the vexed issue of inter-theoretical reduction (e.g. Newton vs Einstein) . . . WITHOUT HAVING READ A THING ABOUT IT!

Funny old world, eh?

oh really? money, social and CULTURAL influences (you know that most cultures are influenced by religion)

Money yeah: you need money to be able to study and do science. Though have you seen all scientist that "rich" as anti-scientific zealots like k ham, and k hovind. Any scientist spending some ten years behind grey bars because his work was for his deity? Most scientist just get an average salary!!!!
social? heeeeeeuuuuu science is open for anyone who is interested in it! No social limitations!
Cultural? hmmm yeah when fanatical religion is invlolved some gets completely beserk like j tour!
