Creationism is a mental illness (Page 232)

AretoNyx
AretoNyx: Some are taught everyone else is telling lies with fear and anxiety to learn anything else. Fear of not obeying parents when abused and fear of a hell while ignoring health issues of any sort as a good thing. Some leaving cult like beliefs still retain such fears. Don't really see how that is superior but I guess some will believe just about anything. It is quite sad.

AretoNyx: Those were political cult leaders others worshipped. I do not say better but in reality Jim Jones among others with smaller groups ...just because they are theist doesn't make them better. Just saying.

AretoNyx: A cult can be two people... some would say that is an abusive relationship.

There are not so destructive cults too however.

AretoNyx: I have seen many Paulogia videos and many others religious and irreligious.

Watching theists argue with other theists on differences seems pretty interesting.

AretoNyx: Hey what happened to the post of how creationism is not science. Posted links on the facts. However I think angrybeaver was getting personal on how many creationists are mentally ill and hating on religion. Guess moderators got rid of it?

AretoNyx: I guess IQ is dropping but one can be smart while in a dangerous cult. Psychology and the brain is more complicated than just what IQ tests give.

BelgianStrider: god has no feelings!

If he has any; then those are gruesome, sadistic and even "evil"!

This is also a (wondefull) "creation of god" !!!

AretoNyx: The excuse of existing evil or suffering of indifference from natural things faced in life has had debates. Though many theist claim it is a plan, mysterious way, because of sin others or one has caused themselves, a way of the devil (sounds in saying a devil is more powerful than an all powerful knowing deity of such things), or other things of reincarnation to other religious views. People often have beliefs of how they are rather than what things are it seems.

kittybobo34: New Interesting factoid for the anthapologists among you.. Sahelanthropus (first bipedal hominid) was found in Europe, dated at 8 million years ago.. The next fossil of that species was found in Africa 6--7 million years ago.... So the origin of hominids could actually be in Europe, and migrated to Africa as the weather changed

zeffur: re: "BSr: But nothing can make us certain that a-biogenesis is impossible! "

Except the fact remains that nature has no intelligence or capability to originate life/DNA & the lifeforms that depend on it--& any sane, honest, rational, well-informed, & intelligence person knows that IS the TRUTH.

Without intelligence there can be NO functional genetic code & no micro machines to process that code, no cells, & no host systems to support those living cells.

God provided mankind with the only rational explanation for how life came to exist on earth & there is NO other proven or compelling/convincing unbiased evidence or cogent explanation for how life originated or has changed on earth. Only God's explanation is trustworthy. If you can prove otherwise, show your proof!

No intelligence is needed for "creating" the binary code!!!

zeffur: Wrong, of course. Binary is meaningless if info isn't encoded within it. Any string of 0s & 1s doesn't mean anything until we ascribe meaning to them. DNA is the same way. It is a system that was intelligently engineered. You are just a nitwit or a liar when you make the false statements that you make.

Binary on it's own also doesn't make enzymes, micro machines, cells, etc.
To pretend that it does so randomly is stupid or disingenuous.

BelgianStrider: Z just confims what I claim:

- Binary is "meaningless" without info.

- DNA is meaningless without our "info"! DNA are just meaningless chemical molecules!

It induces just meaningless chemical processes that creates via RNA proteines, the building blocks for life! All that: is in fact meaningless, as it is just a sequence of natural chemical processes!

The info and intepreting of the so called DNA code ( it is factually not a code at all ) is done by intelligence. DNA was there before any intelligence could interprete it and put info in it!
Idem dito with Binary Code!

ghostgeek: The location where the first hominids originated is irrevelant to our friendly Creationists because they are only interested in the Bible narrative. For them, if the Bible said Adam stepped out of a shithouse in Timbuktu 6,000 years ago without pulling the chain, that's where we all come from.
