ghostgeek: Researchers analyzed temperature observations from satellites, weather balloons, weather stations and buoys and found the so-called “tropical hotspot” relied upon by the EPA to declare carbon dioxide a pollutant “simply does not exist in the real world.”

They found that once El Ninos are taken into account, “there is no ‘record setting’ warming to be concerned about.”

“These analysis results would appear to leave very, very little doubt but that EPA’s claim of a Tropical Hot Spot (THS), caused by rising atmospheric CO2 levels, simply does not exist in the real world,” reads the report by economist James Wallace, climatologist John Christy and meteorologist Joseph D’Aleo.

Never the less there has been large changes to the weather.

Pacific storm winds bring rain and snow to the western USA in mid October. The snow is mostly on the peaks.

It does seem that temperatures have dropped in the upper atmosphere and the resultant storms are happening now.

Otherwise the weather across the pond has been dry.

Snow and heavy rain is hardly a surprise in the western states and the hot weather from Africa is still the most significant event so far. The weather this year has been mild and quite pleasant.

A comparison for the fires in Portugal.

"The major Soberanes fire, that burned for almost three months and was fought by hundreds of firefighters, was finally contained this week, according to the US Forest Service. The authorities reported it was caused by an illegal campfire and was, at the cost of at least $229 million, one of the most expensive wildfires in the US history.

The wildfire, fueled by the drought, affected the Soberanes Creek, Garrapata State Park, Palo Colorado north of Big Sur in the Monterey County, California, and lasted from July 22 to October 13, 2016. According to the Cal Fire, it burned down 53 470 hectares (132 127 acres), which is the size four times larger than San Francisco. " Thewatchers.

WindyTVs forecast for Wednesday next week.

The wind coming down from the Arctic straight at Germany is what has caused the snowy forecasts. Notice the cyclones near Iceland and Stockholm. And the warm weather coming up from the southern Atlantic. In situations like this serious storms can develop. And weather has also been shown to be slow to move causing more serious effects.

I don't think there is much chance of snow in November as the gulp of Arctic air isn't going to last long and the warm air from Africa is now forecast to return.

I think Wireclubbers can see a good reason for the wind to move in to Germany like that.

And I think the Mini Ice Age debate has impacted on political thinking because many people in the UK are not behaving normally.

So I think the forecast should be for a gentle drop in temperatures as we head in to winter with a quiet Sun.

I actually saw some of these a number of times down here in East Anglia.

Their great extent is a sign of the times and do seem to bring feelings of doom and fear.

Noctilucent cloud season in the south starts at its earliest since 2013

"This season [2014/15] was not like the others. The clouds were much more variable, and there was an enormous decrease in cloud frequency 15 to 25 days after the summer solstice. That's when the clouds are usually most abundant." The Watchers

" The cooling trend is predicted to continue due to reduced solar activity and may even lead to what scientists call a minor ice age, similar to the one that existed from 1645 to 1715. [The question now is which human activity will be taxed to prevent this.] "Investmentwatchblog.com

I think it is significant that there appears to have been less rainfall and even less cloud cover.

Not only has this quiet weather shown the effects of the weather in the US and Canada on European weather, much as people had expected it to, but also it seems to indicate that the weather might stick on clear and cold or ice and cold. The lack of strong winds is also apparent.

Reading the diaries ( see previous pages for link) from the mini ice age of 1645 to 1715 and the later cold periods seems to show that rain was a major feature and the cold was not much colder then normal but lasted for longer stretches of time.

We could be entering a mini ice age but without the rain this year.

The Solar calm produces still air. While the US freeze produces cold winds at higher altitudes.

Together, or at least close to each other, they produce filthy mists and fog. These mists often smell like smoke from dustbins or rubbish heaps or burning plastic and are common in Norwich.

The cold winds above and the warmer ground below are a bonus for diseases.

...with awful predictions of disasters, and without much real care and a whining tone of criticism, 2030 has picked up a fake follower. Such a dopple has been discussed in other threads. But what else should he expect when he has so little understanding of recent human behaviour...

.... it is not just 2030 but instead a " new system " on the internet taking hold and effecting many computers I think. perhaps the Trump machine has invoked some sort of scavenger??
