Mini Ice Age?

duncan124
duncan124:
Fifteen years to go.

An Ice Age is when the temperature does not rise above freezing and snow and ice remain for long periods.

In a mini ice age the weather is colder and wetter and snow and ice remain for long periods in winter. Things like "the year without a summer " happen and it becomes more difficult to live.

What should we do??

Grading of site for hundreds of homes uncovers trove of ancient fossils. Bison, mammoth ------------------The fossils -- including the bison, only second ever discovered in San Diego County -- are from the Pleistocene Epoch, and are between 50,000 and 200,000 years old, says Tom Deméré, the San Diego Natural History Museum's curator of paleontology.

Fun reading if you don't like the Global Warmists.

Composite weather patterns confirm drop in temperatures and dispel Global Warming threats.

Variations in the sun caused similar changes in the Earths weather! But it is still difficult to find a standard for the Suns over all irradiance

" ...it seems that most of the temperature trends since at least 1881 can be explained in terms of solar variability, with atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations providing at most a minor contribution."

Solar Minimum causes volcanic activity or volcanoes in cold weather are just more annoying??

Historic investigations in to the last mini-ice-age have looked at volcanoes as the cause and then looked at how they interact with the changing weather patterns.

Since 1998/9 when there was higher temps scientists have shown that there was a connection with deserts even then.

If we are going in to an ice age then we don't want anything more from the Bushes. The next step in the 'History Connections to Bush' seems to be the Polish Death Camps!

Russia Warns Global Chaos To Follow Worst Winter In History

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

A chilling new Ministry of Defense (MoD) report circulating in the Kremlin today warns that the potential for global chaos has grown “beyond all measure” due to the catastrophic effects being caused by the severe weakening of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) that not only has slammed Europe with the “winter that never left” this year, but is now threatening to unleash upon the world another Little Ice Age (LIA) event.

According to this report, from Scotland, where last winters snow falls never fully melted and has begun falling again, to Sweden, where villagers in Klimpfjäll cannot remember there ever having been so much snow left at this time, to Iceland, which has had its coldest summer since 1992, and the massive ice buildup in Greenland—to just name a few—all of these events, and more, point to the reality that the weakening AMOC is, indeed, about to unleash what could very well be the worst winter in modern history.

Unfortunately for the Western peoples, however, in regards to the catastrophic winter dangers to come, this report says, are their government global warming alarmists blaming an El Nino event for its occurring…while at the same time refusing to tell their people about the massive cold ‘blob’ growing in the North Atlantic due to the AMOC weakening that is, in fact, what is actually to blame for what is to come.."

Atlantic Cold Blob might mean the UK is going to have a mild winter, and when it goes back to normal a cold one!

"LUNAR ECLIPSE DETECTS GLOBAL COOLING (BUT ONLY A LITTLE):

On Sept. 27th, millions of people around the world watched the Moon pass through the shadow of our planet. Most agreed that the lunar eclipse was darker than usual. Little did they know, they were witnessing a sign of global cooling. But only a little.

What happened? "There is a layer of volcanic aerosols in the lower stratosphere," says Steve Albers of NOAA. "It comes from Chile's Calbuco volcano, which erupted in April 2015. Six months later, we are still seeing the effects of this material on sunsets in both hemispheres--and it appears to have affected the eclipse as well."

Volcanic dust in the stratosphere tends to reflect sunlight, thus cooling the Earth below. "In terms of climate, Calbuco's optical thickness of 0.01 corresponds to a 'climate forcing' of 0.2 Watts/m2, or a global cooling of 0.04 degrees C," says Keen, who emphasizes that this is a very small amount of cooling. For comparison, the eruption of Pinatubo in 1991 produced 0.6 C of cooling and rare July snows at Keen's mountain home in Colorado.

"I do not anticipate a 'year without a summer' from this one!" he says. "It will probably be completely overwhelmed by the warming effects of El Nino now underway in the Pacific."Spaceweather.com

So that is fairly clear, Less energy equals less energy.

But " History does not repeat it self ". The effect of a new minimum on Earth might be different to the previous Minimum.

So what is actually going to happen if we head in to a Mini Ice Age??

The kind of milder weather like we have experienced in the UK is very like the sort of thing you encounter near ice flows and bergs.

And in any case the USA is expected to get very much colder in the north due to changes in the orbit of the Earth. In other parts of the world property prices have already changed as once sunlight homes are more often in shade.

Even a slight change in the temperature combine with shade will alter things a lot.

Changes in the global temperature are the cause of the North Atlantic Blob and the NAB is the cause of regional changes in temperature this winter. The UK is having a mild winter as the sea temperature stay higher.

If the countryside is not covered in snow and ice for long periods then it will change quite a bit I guess.

What has changed is the politics. Those who react strongly to cold weather are now on their way out.

Increased volcanic activity could be associated with the Mini Ice Age is the conclusion from many sources.

Enta erupted on the 3rd of December sending ash and clouds " several kilometres " in to the air.

" During the past 24 hours, two further paroxysmal episodes have occurred at the Voragine crater of Etna, one on the evening of 4 December 2015 between 20:30 and 21:15 UTC (= local time -1), and the second on the afternoon of 5 December, between 14:55 and 15:35 UTC. These paroxysms have been repetitions in virtually all details of those on the early morning of 3 December and on the forenoon of 4 December, with tall lava fountains and eruption columns many kilometers high. First effect of the Suns decline in 2016? Storm Eva set to landfall the UK on Tuesday newspapers claim.

The North Atlantic blob which has kept the UK warmer this year has also had the effect of allowing cold weather to spill of the much colder USA and Canada and swirl across the Atlantic which seems to have been divided in to two distinct warmer and colder regions.

True or not? The weather expectations seem to follow the political needs and, for example , the army is deployed in the North of England on weather defences only days after being redeployed in Afghanistan we were told.

The north of England was also a Christmas holiday attraction with thousands of hill walkers taking to the footpaths over the holidays.
