The Begining and the End! (Page 4)

Corwin
Corwin: Heat energy... like I said, the coldest reaches of space are still a couple of degrees above absolute zero.

ALMOST no vibration.

Zereous Excentris: The Only place that Energy can come from is inside of the Nucli of the atom!

Why do you insist on me repeating myself?

No space is a complete vacuum... there are always a few stray Hydrogen atoms.

Zereous Excentris: how does a hydrogen atom cause heat in the atom.. I am trying to prove that the Atom Nucli uses Energy to tell you that eventualy this atom stops working the way it is working now!

Corwin: Atoms don't "cause" heat (with the exception of radioactive isotopes that decay), the heat of an atom is just a property of it... just like a cup of coffee... cups of coffee contain the heat they absorb, they don't give off heat by themselves.

Corwin: And you still don't understand that the Fundamental Forces of Nature are NOT "energy"... they're Laws, or rules that matter and energy follow.

Corwin: I hear ya, Caly.

I at first thought that this guy never attended school... I'm thinking now that he may have in fact attended... he just never understood anything.

Edit - not meant as insult... perhaps he's just a difficult learner, and could have used an awesome private tutor like me.

Zereous Excentris: The water and other stuff in the coffee transfers the heat by vibrating the atoms around it... the atom Vibrates because the Protons and Neutrons and such are writhing around harder.. now the Atom itself is Using energy to do this.. There is a point here corvin we are onto something.. Possibly that got discovered before but I like to slap this stuff around..
Now lets see here.. The atom Vibrates from Heat.. Heat is not Energy it is Vibration of the atoms.. Heat is not an Electron it is Vibrating atoms..

I never knew there was such a thing as space coffee.

I tell ya, that Starbucks is everywhere now.

Corwin: Electricity has more to do with electrons. An electric current is just atoms playing hot-potato with an extra electron and passing them along to the path of least resistance.

Zereous Excentris: The Electrons Produced by the fire hit atoms causing them to Vibrate harder... hmmmmm.. Heat Destabilizes the atom causing it to vibrate more.. otherwise why would it vibrate back and forth.. now that would sugjest that if there is more heat that the protons and neutrons escape the atom...

Zereous Excentris: So there is Ether Energy making those protons and nutrons try to escape or energy makeing the strong force work.. Otherwise there is a Force for Protons and Nutrons trying to escape otherwise why does a Atom Vibrate from heat Erratically?

Corwin: Who says it vibrates erratically?
Who says that heat makes it unstable?
Who says that Protons and Neutrons are trying to escape?

Atomic nuclei are typically very happy to be in that state.

Zereous Excentris: The atom is not Solid clump together the things Vibrates back and forth and up and down and around... Why? those Protons and Neutrons are Dictating its Trajectories by Writhing harder..

Corwin: Fire doesn't produce electrons per say (it does, but I'm trying to keep this simple)... it's not electrons bombarding other atoms that energizes them (that would be an electric current, and the atom would bounce that electron on to the next one nearest it).... the fire releases infrared radiation (heat) that energizes surrounding atoms.

And don't think of the term "vibration" so literally... it's just a metaphor to describe the atom's more energetic state. Just as electrons don't literally "orbit" the nucleus.

Zereous Excentris: So there is smoke from fire.. Corbon Monoxide and Carbon Dixoide and Ash and this Red flame that is produced from fire.. and whats in wood.... Do the Atoms Change into Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide and ash? and the Red Flame Really does say it all.. As to ware those Atoms go..

Zereous Excentris: Because this Radiation has to come from some ware and it obviously does not come from the electrons orbiting those atoms

Corwin: As I said before, don't confuse atoms with molecules.

Molecules are different atoms joined together to form compounds. When they do this they share electrons. Create a new compound and one or more electrons will be shed.

What's in wood? I said before - Organic Molecules, which are made up of Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Hydrogen. Break those down with fire and you can create all kinds of things.
Charcoal and soot - Carbon
Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide - Carbon and Oxygen
Water vapor - Hydrogen and Oxygen
Creosote - an oil composed of H, C, N, and O again.

Corwin: Fire isn't breaking the atoms down on the atomic level, it's breaking down molecules on the molecular level.
That's why fire is chemical, not nuclear.
