Changes in the upper atmosphere are causing the rocks from space to break up in to dust?
The lack of meteorites and the increase in NLCs might well be connected.
There is some research that shows the chemical composition changes with changes in the temp and type of light from the sun.
Space junk lasts longer due to less fine air to slow it down and fall to Earth. When the same thing happens to the meteors they break up more as there is less to slow them until they hit the main atmosphere
The violent drop in Thermosphere Climate Index , the increase in NCLs and the lack of sightings of meteors falling through the sky seems to indicate a serious change has taken place.
What the outcome or result of this change will be is anyones guess.

Strange sounds from the sky near you??
I too have heard these about the same time and several times this year.
As I have said before they sound like metal scraping in the wind and sometimes are a little more musical.
"The Beta Taurids is a meteor shower that takes place every year between June 5 and July 18, when the Earth passes through a broad stream of debris left by Comet Encke.
It is less well known than some other meteor showers because it peaks after sunrise, making the "shooting stars" much harder to see." The Mirror.
With NCLs being in part made by dust from space it might be a good bet with a lot of NCLs that there is a lot of dust heading our way.
