Murdered Scientists?

lori100: Likely murdered to hide their discoveries-------------What really happened with the famous 25 Marconi Scientists?---------------------
between 1982 and 1990 twenty-five British-based GEC-Marconi scientists and engineers who worked on the Sting Ray torpedo project, and other United States Strategic Defense Initiative related projects (better known as Star Wars) died under mysterious circumstances. Police investigations found the deaths to be unconnected and lacking evidence of foul play. ???

There have been at least 25 mysterious deaths of people who worked for GEC-Marconi (the defense arm of GEC) on the Sting Ray torpedo project between 1982 and 1988. The death of the British defense journalist Jonathan Moyle, who was found hanged in his Santiago hotel room on April 1, 1990, has also been the subject of speculation as being connected to the Marconi deaths.

Most incidents occurred after the men have successfully completed important projects or left one job for another. Four of the dead men were employees of the GEC group three at Marconi and one at Easams Ltd. Two others worked at separate times at the Royal Military College of Science at Shrivenham. An investigation by Computer News established that most of the men were involved in computer simulation, a key part of defense procurement.

lori100: ^^^^^^continued----------------At the time GEC-Marconi was Britain’s only torpedo supplier and in 1986 was awarded a £400 million order from the Ministry of Defense for advanced anti-submarine Sting Ray torpedoes. The Royal Military College at Shrivenham is also involved in a number of Britain’s leading edge defense projects. The college develops new testing devices for the Ministry of Defense and is engaged as a subcontractor to defense companies on research and development. All the men involved were ambitious and demonstrated a special ability in their particular field. After every death, police gave unofficial press briefings providing journalists with plausible though unconfirmed explanations for the accidents or apparent suicides. The major problem for police has been the lack of obvious signs of depression in any of the cases. Several British MPs demanded a government inquiry. The UK Ministry of Defense denied that these scientists had been involved in classified Star Wars Projects and that the deaths were in any way connected.

Background & Full List

In the 1980′s over two dozen science graduates and experts working for Marconi or Plessey Defense Systems died in mysterious circumstances, most alleged as suicide. The MOD denied these scientists had been involved in classified Star Wars Projects and that the deaths were in any way connected. You Be The Judge! But more will fall victim to the authorities damned games, if we do not stop them.
◦March 1982: Professor Keith Bowden, 46 –Expertise: Computer programmer and scientist at Essex University engaged in work for Marconi, who was hailed as an expert on super computers and computer-controlled aircraft. –Circumstance of Death: Fatal car crash when his vehicle went out of control across a dual carriageway and plunged onto a disused railway line. Police maintained he had been drinking but family and friends all denied the allegation. –Coroner’s verdict: Accident.

Police report on the body mentioned a needle-sized puncture wound on the left buttock, but this was later dismissed as being a result of the fall. Dajibhai had been looking forward to starting a new job in the City of London and friends had confirmed that there was no reason for him to commit suicide. At the time of his death he was in the last week of his work with Marconi. –Coroner’s verdict: Open.
◦October 1986: Arshad Sharif, 26 –Expertise: Reported to have been working on systems for the detection of submarines by satellite. –Circumstance of Death: Died as a result of placing a ligature around his neck, tying the other end to a tree and then driving off in his car with the accelerator pedal jammed down. His unusual death was complicated by several issues: Sharif lived near Vimal Dajibhai in Stanmore, Middlesex, he committed suicide in Bristol and, inexplicably, had spent the last night of his life in a rooming house. He had paid for his accommodation in cash and was seen to have a bundle of high-denomination banknotes in his possession. While the police were told of the banknotes, no mention was made of them at the inquest and they were never found. In addition, most of the other guests at the rooming house worked at British Aerospace prior to working for Marconi, Sharif had also worked at British Aerospace on guided weapons technology. –Coroner’s verdict: Suicide.
◦January 1987: Richard Pugh, 37 –Expertise: MOD computer consultant and digital communications expert. –Circumstance of Death: Found dead in his flat in with his feet bound and a plastic bag over his head. He had been working on testing titanium for its resistance to explosives and the use of computer analysis of signals from metals. –Circumstance of Death: Found dead allegedly from carbon monoxide poisoning, in his Oxfordshire garage. The circumstances of his death raised some elements of doubt. His wife had found him on his back with his head parallel to the rear car bumper and his mouth in line with the exhaust pipe, with the car engine running. Police were apparently baffled as to how he could have maneuvered into the position in which he was found. –Coroner’s verdict: Open.

But the Marconi Scientists case is far from the only case where scientist`s are missing or alleged listed as suicide. Stefan Nystrom for example invented a way to generate energy from Ocean waves. After unveiling hes findings, he is now missing. Link Another very mysterious case is the WOLFHART WILLIMCZIK case, who in Germany in the eighties invented this revolutionary machine Water Jacking Compressor and was banned. Wolfhart Willimczik’s water jacking system made it to the most powerful oil-free compressor so far, but it was sabotaged by the SSD/STASI/KGB and BLKA (the secret police from Bavaria) it is total unknown. This video is the only document that such a compressor existed. Link
----------------------------You will never see a picture or hear a single word about this in the media. The KGB has silenced everything about it, even in the USA.

And here`s another interesting case with close connection to the previous. It’s a question many people inside Iran and those who watch the country closely around the world were asking Wednesday: Who is killing nuclear scientists in Iran? An explosion on Wednesday killed Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, a top official at the Natanz uranium enrichment plant, Iranian officials said. He is the third man identified as a nuclear scientist to be killed in Iran in a mysterious explosion in the past two years. A fourth survived an assassination attempt. In each case, someone placed a bomb under the scientist’s car. Iranian officials, on state-run media, blame Israel and the United States. As if this wasn’t enough, Five Russian scientists who recently “died” in a plane crash in “18 September 2011 Tuesday” had been helping Iran with nuclear secrets, it has now been revealed.
---------------------They were among 45 killed when the plane’s lights failed in heavy fog and crashed into a motorway in north-west Russia before bursting into flames – leading conspiracy theorists to believe it was a deliberate plot to kill the nuclear experts. Russian security sources confirmed that the dead scientists worked at the controversial Bushehr nuclear plant on the Iranian Persian Gulf. More --------------------------Operation Sverdlovsk is also one of the “Dead Scientist” cases, as documents and identified the medical facility where the autopsy was performed by, which is now the Moscow Medical Institute. Further, they “discovered” the death certificates of the three male doctors who worked on the Sverdlovsk autopsy, all of whom supposedly died of cerebral hemorrhages within a week of the operation?? hmm..

Ron S. Stewart using APEP (Advanced Photographic Extraction Process), a Microscopic Digital Imaging system APEP uses X-Ray, Thermo, Infrared and high magnification along with increased DPI (dots per inch) to extract images. The articles photos reveal the Russian’s may have in their possession a crashed Disk from another planet. Death Certificates signed by Doctors Kamyshoy, Savitsky and Gordeenko were issued in Moscow region on March 24, 1969. Certificates in the USSR are printed by Gosznak, the documents are only some of the evidence found. Large volumes of information are available on the web including autopsy photos and expert testimony to the veracity of the crash.

Someone have put forth the argument that an American Production crew, filmed the footage in March 1998. These claims are put forth on various web sites claiming to know the truth about this footage. But they have failed to show not even one current photo of any of the soldiers in the film, or anyone else for that matter. So this argument is to be considered as FAKE. Besides, it would’ve been totally impossible for an American film crew to go to the Soviet Union in 1968 and make a film. Ridiculous claims!
-----------------------A most intriguing report prepared by the Foreign Military Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff (GRU) is about the killing of one of their “operatives” posted at a United States space weapon laboratory states that the death of Doctor-Scientist Maria Beloyvan [photo Above] in May 2012 was “directly attributed” to knowledge she had gained about the Americans “inter-dimensional space communication” program and the potential dangers it holds for our Earth.

According to this report, Dr. Beloyvan, who was one of 45 guest scientists at the United States Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) particle accelerator complex located in Batavia, Illinois, was reported by American authorities to have been killed this Thursday past (May 6th) due to “traumatic injuries to her neck, chest and back caused by a fall” at this space weapon lab that they ruled almost immediately, and without investigation, was not the result of “foul play” ??? hmm..

lori100: veteranstoday------------------Nikola Tesla was Murdered by Otto Skorzeny---------------
It has long since been rumored that he invented or developed a significant number of electrical and electronic devices which were decades ahead of their time and would have been of special interest to US military and intelligence circles. Around 300 patents were issued to Tesla in 25 countries, many of them major and far-reaching in concept.

The reality of Tesla’s murder was brought home to us after listening to this Youtube presentation. Eric Bermen tells Greg Syzmanski how he discovered his former girlfriend was the daughter of ex-Nazi SS Commando Otto Skorzeny, and thereby quite by chance met the elderly Skorzeny who had been living for years in the US, working as a carpenter with a new identity supplied by the CIA after WWII.

Bermen (who sometimes uses the pseudonym Eric Orion) heard a full confession from Skorzeny, who was nearing the end of his life, and was given a shoebox full of over a hundred photographs to substantiate his claims.

Among a number of other highly significant revelations, Bermen heard from Skorzeny that he had personally suffocated Nikola Tesla on January 6, 1943, assisted by fellow-Nazi Reinhard Gehlen. Tesla was then 86 years old.

According to Skorzeny, he and Gehlen had tricked Tesla the previous day into revealing the full details of his most important discoveries. After the murder, they stole the contents of Tesla’s safe, which were delivered to Hitler. (Note, of course, that the US military would have fully repatriated this treasure trove of innovation through Project Paperclip at the end of the war.)
------------------Otto Skorzeny was Hitler’s bodyguard & also an assassin, one of the many Nazis who ex-filtrated to the USA after WWII, as part of Project Paperclip. Many of these Nazi scientists ended up working for NASA, the CIA, and other US secret services.

Although he supposedly died in 1975 in Spain, Skorzeny resurfaced in 1999. Otto Skorzeny described how (“contrary to the CIA-written history books”) he helped Hitler escape to Austria in a plane flown by a female pilot, Hanna Reitsch.

“Hitler did not commit suicide,” Skorzeny recounted. “His double was shot between the eyes, and the dental records proved he was not Hitler. The Americans kept it a secret, worried the truth might anger the Russians.”
---------------Financiers, such as John Pierpont (J.P.) Morgan, George Westinghouse and John Jacob Astor were among those who saw the potential in Tesla’s pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit to capitalize on his technological discoveries in electricity, wireless communications, and physics. ----------------His many technological discoveries were certain to have drawn the attention of those hungry for world domination and superiority. Many of Tesla’s patents fell into Nazi hands prior to and during World Wars I and II. As a result, Tesla continuously found himself in litigation over patent rights and other issues.

Although he had succeeded in winning the majority of his patent lawsuits, his technology had been repeatedly stolen and sold to the German Nazis and other foreign governments, so he never achieved the financial success he deserved.

The embezzlement of his capitalization went unchecked throughout Tesla’s career. At the time of his death (by murder, according to Skorzeny) on January 6, 1943, Tesla died virtually penniless.

On Good Friday, Ortodox Christmas Eve, he was found in bed, dressed in solemn black suit, arms folded on his chest. They say that a great mind felt his death is coming , he put on the solemn black suit – and then died. An incredible lie and mission impossible, even for a great mind as it was Nikola Tesla.
--------------------------In fact, many of his inventions were developed through secret government programs which began soon after his discoveries in alternating current (AC), electromagnetic energy, electric motors, generators, coils, radio transmission, energy-saving devices, and wireless transmission technologies.

Since Tesla was often buried deep in research at remote labs, many of his financial and legal affairs were supervised by his closest associate, George H. Scherff.

Scherff often advised Tesla about pending patent litigation, contracts, proposals, demonstrations, and financial affairs.
----------------------. Tesla had begun construction of a wireless power transmission tower (“Wardenclyffe,” Shoreham, Long Island) with funds invested by J.P. Morgan. -----------------------When Morgan discovered that the tower would transmit free electricity and radio waves, he cancelled the project and had the tower dismantled, then sold for scrap. Morgan was not about to allow Americans to receive free electricity, television and radio.

Tesla was devastated when he received the news, but continued on with his new inventions. The Rockefeller Connection Records show that 17 Battery Place is the Whitehall Building and was owned by Frank Rockefeller, who, with his brothers William and John D., also owned many of the companies with offices located there.
--------------------Who was George Scherff? Better yet, who was George H. Scherff, Sr.? There exists no legitimate record of a George H. Scherff being born in the U.S. from the late-1800s through 1925, yet, George Scherff was Nikola Tesla’s assistant/accountant. -----------------In short, Otto Skorzeny claimed that the true identity of George H.W. Bush was “George H. Scherff, Jr., the son of Nikola Tesla’s illegal-immigrant, German-born accountant, George H. Scherff, Sr.”

Worth a thousand words: But this was not the only bombshell Otto Skorzeny delivered that day in late-1999. Skorzeny, producing a shoe box full of 60-years worth of his personal photographs, showed them to Berman, describing each one in great detail.

The collection featured a photo of a young, majestic Skorzeny in full S.S. Nazi military dress, next to his Fьhrer, Adolph Hitler. Then there were photos of Reinhard Gehlen (S.S. spy and assassin) Dr. Joseph Mengele (the “Angel of Death”) Martin Bormann (Hitler aide and S.S. assassin) .
(showed a pic with Scherf Jr---Bush------with his friend Mengele) ----------------Berman recounted how Skorzeny was found “not guilty” at the Nuremburg trials, and then ushered into the CIA. “Some 50,000+ S.S. Nazi war criminals, not just rocket scientists, were brought to America after the war.” ----------------------------
“On January 4, 1943, Tesla’s faithful assistant, George Scherff, visited Tesla for the last time, Tesla was found deceased in his hotel room on the morning of January 8. 1943. He had passed away between those four days since Scherff’s visit.”

The article continued, “Following Tesla’s death the United States Office of Alien Property, under the instructions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, confiscated all of Tesla’s papers and property. This was an interesting maneuver considering that Tesla was a United States citizen.”

The significance of this benign description of Tesla’s inventions and his last days has a direct relationship to the previously unknown claims of Otto Skorzeny. As Skorzeny described (to Berman) in detail his involvement with George H. W. Bush (George H. Scherff, Jr.) in organizing the CIA by absorbing Nazi S.S. agents,” he intimated that it was Reinhard Gehlen and himself who murdered Nikola Tesla on January 6, 1943 by strangulation/suffocation.

Prior to the murder, Skorzeny and Gehlen “spoke in great detail to Tesla about his most-advanced technologies and then stole the blueprints of his best, most-secret inventions.”
-------------------------Skorzeny did not stop with these soul-cleansing disclosures. He went on to describe the aliases of himself Frank Edward P_ _ _ _ _, of south Florida (according to Berman, who claims he is trying to protect Skorzeny’s daughter), Reinhard Gehlen (Hank Janowicz, Wayne, N.J.), and Dr. Joseph Mengele (Steven Rabel). --------------------------------Having investigated some of Skorzeny’s claims, Berman had contacted the U.S. Justice Department to inform them that Nazi spies were being harbored by certain factions of the U.S. intelligence agencies, in particular, the CIA. “My thoughts were that, uh, I needed to try to bring these wanted SS Nazi war criminal, holocaust killers—terrorists, basically—to justice.

lori100: From the April 2007 Idaho Observer:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deathbed confessions, photos support claims that George H. Scherf(f), Jr., was the 41st U.S. president ----------------------------According to Otto Skorzeny, pictured is the Scherff family and a few friends (circa 1938). Holding “Mother" Scherff’s hand at left is Martin Bormann. In front is Reinhardt Gehlen. In back is Joseph Mengele and to his right is Skorzeny as a young man. At center right (in the German navy uniform) is George H. Scherff, Jr. and his father George H. Scherff, Sr. Bormann became Hitler’s second in command. Reinhardt Gehlen was a chief SS officer and assassin who was smuggled out of Germany under Operation Paperclip. Skorzeny was Hitler's bodyguard and SS spy/assassin who came to the U.S. after the war under Project Paperclip. Skorzeny and GHW Bush were instrumental in merging Nazi (SS) intelligence with the OSI to form the CIA with "Wild Bill" Donovan and Allen Dulles. These guys were also part of CIA mind control experiments such as MK-ULTRA. SS officer and physician Joseph Mengele, the notoriously sadistic “Angel of Death” of Auschwitz, escaped Germany to South America after the war. George H. Scherff, Jr., became the 41st President of the United States as GHW Bush and George H. Scherff, Sr., was Nicola Tesla’s “trusted assistant.”
(pic of Bush SR. with Mengele) ----------------------Friends and acquaintances of Nikola Tesla recall him complaining about Scherff’s son, George, Jr., always snooping around Tesla’s lab. On more than one occasion (probably during the late 1930s), Tesla caught the 14-year old Scherff looking at his notes, poring through his books, and stealing small items from his lab. Tesla gave him the nickname, “Curious George” and likened him to a “mischievous monkey.” According to Skorzeny, (Adolph Hitler’s former bodyguard) in a deathbed confession to Eric “Orion” (Eric Berman) in S. Miami, Florida, Tesla, “hated the younger Scherff.” In fact, according to Skorzeny, the “Curious George” book and movie were inspired by Tesla’ s suggestion.

Curiously, the day before the national theatrical release of the Hollywood production of the Curious George feature length film, Alan Shalleck, the originator of Curious George (and the man in the Yellow hat), was found murdered under a pile of plastic garbage bags in his driveway in Florida at age 76. [13]

In short, Otto Skorzeny claimed that the true identity of George H.W. Bush was “George H. Scherff, Jr., the son of Nikola Tesla’s illegal-immigrant, German-born accountant, George H. Scherff, Sr.”

----------------Skorzeny did not stop there. He produced a photo of a young Skorzeny, Mengele, Bormann, and the family of George H. Scherff, Sr.. Seated in the midst of those in the photo was a young George H. Scherff, Jr., who, Skorzeny explained, was trained as a spy and sent to America to work for Adolph Hitler. “He was given false identification and adopted by Prescott Sheldon Bush as his “son,” George Herbert Walker Bush,” Skorzeny went on. “He forged a birth certificate in order to enter the military before he turned 18. He was 16 at the time.”

In the family photo, a young Scherff and Bormann both sported a German Navy uniform. Scherff later enlisted in the U.S. Navy as “George H.W. Bush.”

----------------------One significant voyage, which departed from Liverpool on January 20, 1915 and arrived in New York on the January 30, was aboard the SS Arabic. Its passenger, on Line 1 of the manifest, presented to the INS at Ellis Island, was George Scherf, German citizen from Dölitzsch. [27] Dölitzsch is a small village south of Leipzig, Germany, and was not too distant from the hometown of Martin Bormann who later became Hitler’s second-in-command.

This official U.S. government document (to the inevitable chagrin of the INS, the FBI, and the CIA) establishes a “regional” connection between the George H. Scherf family, Martin Bormann, Joseph Mengele, Reinhardt Gehlen and Skorzeny; (see photo) sets the pre-WWII connection between the Scherfs and these known Nazis into concrete.

----------------------Census records from 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 reveal a suspicious but recurring pattern with those who conducted business with the Nazis. The “memory lapses” that plagued the paternal side of the Bush clan became contagious and spread to GSH1/PSB’s in-laws as well. For example, in the 1900 U.S. Federal Decennial Census, GHW declared that his father was born in “Missouri” and his mother in “Missouri. [33]

However, in the 1910 U.S. Federal Decennial Census, his father was born in “Maryland” and his mother in “Missouri.” [34]

The wily GHW declared in the 1920 U.S. Federal Census that his father was born in “Maryland” and that his mother now, too, was born in “Maryland.” [35]

As if to dispel his own confusion, GHW came full circle in 1930 during the U.S. Federal Decennial Census and, once again, claimed his parents were both born in “Missouri.” [36]

-------------------------The biographies of GHW agree that he was born on June 11, 1875. Why would he claim to the Census Bureau that he was born in 1874—not once, not twice, not thrice, but four times? Surely he must have known the correct date of his own birth.

-------------------------After spearheading the organization of the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, George H. Walker eventually became the president of the W.A. Harriman & Co. investment firm and assisted Averell Harriman in acquiring the Hamburg-Amerika Line. This shipping company, with the aid of the most corrupt New York bank, almost single-handedly was responsible for the infiltration of Nazis into the U.S.—both before and after the war. Today, it is obvious that total cooperation was secured by gaining complete control of the New York Port Authority, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, and key posts and persons all the way to the top in U.S. government.

lori100: Microbiologists are dropping like flies.

In the five-week period from November 16, 2001 through December 23, 2001, five world-class microbiologists in different parts of the world were reported dead. Four undoubtedly died of "unnatural" causes, while the fifth's death is quite questionable.

In the ten weeks prior to December 12, 2001, two additional microbiologists were killed, and possibly another five. The period also saw the deaths of three Israelis holding high-level positions in either medical research or public health.

On November 16, 2001, Dr. Don C. Wiley, 57, vanished, and his abandoned rental car was found on the Hernando de Soto Bridge outside Memphis, TN.

On December 10, 2001, Dr. David Schwartz, 57, was found murdered in his rural home in Loudon County, Virginia.

On December 12, 2001, Dr. Benito Que was found comatose in the street near the laboratory where he worked at the University of Miami Medical School.

On December 14, 2001, Set Van Nguyen was found dead in the airlock entrance to the walk-in refrigerator in the laboratory he worked at in Victoria State, Australia.

And on December 23, 2001, Dr. Vladimir Pasechnik, 64, was found dead in Wiltshire, England, a village near his home.

Before these deaths, on October 4, 2001, a commercial jetliner traveling from Israel to Novosibirsk, Siberia was shot down over the Black Sea by an "errant" Ukrainian surface-to-air missile, killing all on board. The missile was over 100 miles off-course. Despite early news stories reporting it as a charter, the flight (Air Sibir 1812) was a regularly scheduled flight.

According to several press reports, including a 12/05/01 article by Barry Chamish and one on 1/13/02 by Jim Rarey (both available at www.rense.com), the plane is believed by many in Israel to have had as many as four or five passengers who were microbiologists. Both Israel and Novosibirsk are homes for cutting-edge microbiological research. Novosibirsk is known as the scientific capital of Siberia. There are over 50 research facilities there, and 13 full universities for a population of only 2.5 million people.

At about the time of the Black Sea crash, Israeli journalists had been sounding the alarm that two Israeli microbiologists had been murdered, allegedly by terrorists. On November 24, 2001 a Swissair flight from Berlin to Zurich crashed on its landing approach. 24 of the 33 persons on board were killed, including the head of the Hematology department at Israel's Ichilov Hospital, as well as directors of the Tel Aviv Public Health Department and Hebrew University School of Medicine. They were the only Israelis on the flight. The names of those killed, as reported in a subsequent Israeli news story but not matched to their job titles, were Avishai Berkman, Amiramp Eldor and Yaacov Matzner.

Besides all being microbiologists, the five scientists who died within five weeks of each other pose severe problems with "official" explanations of their deaths. And four of the five were doing virtually identical research; research that has global political and financial significance.

A MEMPHIS MYSTERY

Dr. Don C. Wiley, of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Harvard University, was one of the most prominent microbiologists in the world. He had won many of the field's most prestigious awards, including the 1995 Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award for work that could make anti-viral vaccines a reality. He was heavily involved in research on DNA sequencing, and was last seen at around midnight on November 16, leaving the St. Jude's Children¹s Research Advisory Dinner at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN. Associates attending the dinner said he showed no signs of intoxication, and no one has admitted to drinking with him.

His rented Mitsubishi Galant was found about four hours later, abandoned on a bridge across the Mississippi River, headed towards Arkansas. Keys were in the ignition, the gas tank full, but the hazard flashers had not been turned on. Wiley¹s body was found on December 20, snagged on a tree along the Mississippi River in Vidalia, LA, 300 miles south of Memphis. Until his body was found, Dr. Wiley's death was handled as a "missing person" case and police did no forensic examinations. -----------------------Dr. Benito Que was found comatose on a street in Miami, FL. He had left his job at a research laboratory at the University of Miami Medical School, apparently heading for his Ford Explorer parked on NW 10th Ave. The Miami Herald, in its only story on Dr. Que, referred to the death as an "incident", and quoted Miami police as saying his death may have been the result of a mugging. Police made this statement despite saying there was a lack of visible trauma to Dr. Que's body. Among Dr. Que's friends and family there is firm belief that Dr. Que was attacked by four men, at least one of whom had a baseball bat. Dr. Que's death has now been officially ruled "natural", caused by cardiac arrest. Both the Dade County medical examiner and the Miami Police will not comment on the case, saying it is closed. The public relations office at the University of Miami Medical School says only that Dr. Que was a cell biologist, involved in oncology research in the hematology department.

Set Van Nguyen was found dead at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization's animal diseases facility in Geelong, Australia. He had worked there 15 years. In January, 2001, the magazine Nature published information that two scientists at this facility, using genetic manipulation and DNA sequencing, had created an incredibly virulent form of mousepox, a cousin of smallpox. The researchers were extremely concerned that if similar manipulation could be done to smallpox, a terrifying weapon could be unleashed.

According to Victoria Police, Nguyen died after entering a refrigerated storage facility. "He did not know the room was full of deadly gas which had leaked from a liquid nitrogen cooling system, Unable to breathe, Mr. Nguyen collapsed and died" says the official report.

Nitrogen is not a "deadly" gas, and is a part of the air. An extreme over-abundance of nitrogen in one's immediate atmosphere would gradually cause shortness of breath, lightheadedness, and fatigue; conditions a biologist would certainly recognize. Additionally, a nitrogen leak in a laboratory's refrigerator system sufficient to fill the room with nitrogen would set off gas system alarms, and would be so massive as to cause complete failure of the refrigeration system, causing the temperature to rise, also setting off alarms that every one of these systems is equipped with as a standard safety procedure.
