Of course not. That would be too easily faked.

But if an alien space craft landed right in front of the White House, or next to the Eiffel Tower, or in Red Square, or in the parking lot at the Super Bowl ...

StuckInTheSixties:

The alien in the television studio would be convincing under certain circumstances. For one thing, there would have to be A LOT of credible witnesses on hand in the studio at the same time. But it would take more than that, too.

Ever seen the old (not the newer version) movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still"?

It would take something like that.

Wild__: Well wait a minute now.

A) Can we hunt aliens? (from outer space)

B) Do they taste like chicken?

C) Who would take that first bite of Bar-B-Qued alien in order to ascertain the authentic likeness to chicken?

One would think that any "intelligent" life form, from outer space, would steer clear of humanity. If nature doesn't eradicate us from Earth, WE will.

Wild__: Hey SITS, the above video is satirical in nature and was intended as such.

So, when you have 2 and a half minutes to spare/waste....

I almost got a chuckle from a fabricated extraterrestrial singing a rap song of sorts.
The graphics were "low budget" though.

Nathaniel Nirvana: yes, all ppl can be wrong about something I agree.
what I then question is, why so many having such similar experiences & yet claiming not to know each other's stories until after, praps collective unconsciousness? but then why have aliens in that?

LiptonCambell
LiptonCambell: I think there's plenty of reasonable reasons besides "creatures from beyond the solar system"

For example, maybe they're all simply misinterpreting what they are seeing. After all, claiming you are witness to something you cannot fully understand is one thing- claiming you are witnessing to something that only you can explain and understand, however, is another creature altogether. Most people who claim to have seen "aliens" often cannot tell the difference between a satellite and a distant planet in the sky.

Why do you give so much credibility to something that is notorious in being wrong?

Another possibility is about being selfish, really- some people want to be exceptional- NEED to be exception- maybe its a deep psychological need, or maybe its a self-conscious thing, but claiming you had a husband and 3 kids on mars to me is a cry for help(and yes, there are people who claim that)

Another possibility is mental dysfunction. Maybe they siesure out, maybe they hallucinated, maybe they were high, or maybe they even simply confused a dream for reality. All of the above is alarmingly common, and yet, you, as many people who support the idea of UFO's, completely side-step any such possibility.

I mean, I could keep going here....it's just silly to ask "How could people be wrong", because there's a million and one reasons why people could be wrong- and there's only one surefire way to prove that its not such a circumstance;

Proof.

Something you feel is unnecessary. Conviction is not truth, no matter how strongly you feel about it or how strongly you've convinced yourself that there's no other way.

Ask yourself this- why do the "aliens" technology seem to advance with our own, especially with our pop-culture? That, no one witnessed a "grey" before they started appearing in movies, or why triangle "spaceships" started being witnessed around the same time that triangle shaped Stealth Fighters roamed the skies?

There are alot more reasonable arguments to make than "alot of people believe it, so it must be true"

Nathaniel Nirvana: think u make some really good points.
I do believe in aliens, just not sure they are from outer space & I think proof/evidence is over-rated as it's open to interpretation.
why did aliens start coming up more in movies? praps on an unconscious level ppl already knew about them,
but, yeah, so many ppl are in need of psychological attention

So there is no way life could exist out there. We need proof. Right SITS? lol

Wrong (as usual).

I have never said, "...there is no way life could exist out there."

I have merely insisted that there is no proof of such life.

nathanielornament says:
"if an alien came to u & took u to it's spaceship it still wouldn't be proof, as u could explain it away on something else... a hoax, an hallucination, so u need to believe it anyways"

If that happened to me, alone, with no other way to verify that such a thing actually happened other than my own memory of that occurrence...

Hopefully, I'd be able to put such an experience into context. When one considers how frail the human mind is for judging the validity of the INDIVIDUAL experience, and when one compares, objectively, the likelihood of such an experience being a "hallucination" to what we know about science and the human experience, the only logical likelihood, for an experience as you've described it, is that it is, indeed, a "hallucination," or some equivalent. So hopefully, if that happened to me, I'd understand that.
