Evolution is a Bad Idea (Page 114)
zeffur: Oh Gail, hunny, you're making me feel sooo special.
<thinking hard to come up with a hilarious joke...>
zeffur: zeffur: re: "AchillesSinatra: Evolution is shite!!!! Squawk!!!!"
Proof ^^ advertising works!
It's almost as good as the babyback ribs jingle...
theHating: Is it weird that I scream at birds? I mean, sure not all of them believe in the theory of flight, but they need to be told the truth! TOF IS COMPLETE BULLSHIT! And I'm worried that the birds are indoctrinating their young into believing in FAIRYTALES!
Angry Beaver: Cos
Senior Fellow, Center for Science and Culture, ( A discoveroid) who gets paid to push the Discovery Institute's wedge agenda is a totally legit bloke hey!
kittybobo34: Tomorrow Nova is doing a special on the after math of the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. The rise of the mammals afterward.. Should be interesting.
zeffur: Why wait until tomorrow? You can watch it today:
Rise of the Mammals
- Amazing fossils reveal how mammals took over after an asteroid wiped out the dinosaurs.
Of course, as usual, they'll just tell a story--not show you actual evidence & reveal all of their suppositions that matter as to whether or not what they believe & the story they tell is valid or not--such a disappointment, really.
I'm certain evolution lovers will suck it all up & believe every last word of it though....it'll be a nice blend of actual facts (fossils) & pure fiction (the stories that are told about the meteor that destoyed 90% of all life & how mammals could not flourish until the predatory dinos were mostly all wiped out.. Yay! lol Pure fiction, of course--but, evolutioners will believe ever word of it. lol
zeffur: It's 99% story & <1% evidence. Not really surprising, tbh. That's exactly how evolutioners always roll. They know the truth is in the details--which is why they steer clear of providing real evidence to non-club members to critically examine.
Best to not reveal how much spin they've added to their yarn...Too much evidence would sink their ongoing fraud--there are future grants to keep in mind, after all. The main thing is to just keep churning out interesting stories that will keep most people entertained, but distract from the truth.
kittybobo34: THe show will be about the evidence, and the conclusions from the experts on that evidence. Exactly what you keep asking for,, evidence, and reasoned conclusions.
Sorry there will be no Noahs ark evidence in there
zeffur: re: "kittybobo34: THe show will be about the evidence, and the conclusions from the experts on that evidence. Exactly what you keep asking for,, evidence, and reasoned conclusions."
I watched it yesterday--it was exactly as I expected & described above. If that is the state of our 'expert knowledge' then we are in a seriously bad condition, because it is such a huge set of assumptions that no one should consider any of it to reach any level of certainty whatsoever, imo.
It's a good thing such 'experts' don't engineer anything that people's lives depend on--that's for certain!
And to be clear, we are asking for compelling/convincing evidence or proof & cogent explanations about evolution--that video doesn't even come close to being compelling, convincing, nor cogent in any way. It's all guess work on scraps of fossils--nothing more. Even their geological dating method seems dubious at best.
I'd also love to see a total cost from start to finish for their Colorado work, post CO work, & all of the musuem & production cost to put on such a show...It's got to be tens of millions of dollars for such uncertain results.
Blackshoes: Yet you still don't think it odd that there is little to no vegetation trees or any plant life found between layers from below and above the KT boundary up
Odd how almost all grown conveniently stopped to allow for your faith in millions of years between layers for your evolutionary time spams to continue.
