Something from Nothing, our Universe? (Page 2) Goran: Something coming into a being, or being created is a human concept. We're born, we die, and after we grasped use of tools, we create. Why limit our thinking to that? The mass that constitutes the Universe could have always been. XFixYourBrainX: Were human, and we are curious beings. We want to know everything, we are learning and advancing more and more everyday. Its only common sense to seek after more knowledge within our world and learn about what is outside of it, such as the universe. Goran: Absolutely. So IMO we should stop attributing everything we don't understand to gods and seek the truth beyond. If we haven't done so we'd still be dying of diseases thinking they are gods punishment and believing Earth is flat. It's those people who dared to go beyond these explanations we can thank to for understanding so much more about the world we live in. XFixYourBrainX: Ya, but people like to twist the words of scientists and make them to be what they want them to be. Goran: People are people and will always lookg for ways to support their world view. That's what makes hard science even more important because if done properly, it leaves no room for speculation and mis interpretation. Naboo_the_Enigma: If nothing existed before god 'spoke' the universe into existance, where was god exactly when he created space and time? LiptonCambell: >>>God never came from something or nothing...he has always been. What kind of bullshit reasoning is this? First off, isn't this doublespeak? Existence in Non-Existence? Secondly, couldn't you do this with anything? What if big bangs are circular? As in, the universe eventually compacts, then a big bang follows? Wow- suddenly Big Bang still works. Naboo_the_Enigma: I think god was existing before he existed! Thats the beauty of self-creation! And for what reason did god create the universe in the first place? (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) Naboo_the_Enigma: Decided to take ur advice and now im in servitude to Thor the Thundergod. Thanks!!! LiptonCambell: Why couldn't I understand? It seems like a rather arrogant way to perceive the world- that you can make claims that contradict themselves, and if I were to ask how can such a thing exist, you simply state you're so much wiser that you can use words to mean the opposite of what they actually mean.(aka doublespeak) Something cannot exist in non-existance. If it did, it wouldn't exist. Also, the Big Bang is used to explain the creation of the universe- it doesn't even begin to address what happened prior to the big bang- rather, it simply is used to explain where the matter we see now originated from. (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) Naboo_the_Enigma: 2 questions i hope someone can answer Why did god create the universe in the first place? Where exactly was god when he created space and time? (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) Aryaa: Now I am confused ...what is the topic actually ? Is it about GOD or is it about the origin of Universe ? (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) Naboo_the_Enigma: 'God created us to worship him, but when adam and eve sinned, we then had a choice. They were tempted by the devil. If the devil wouldnt have tempted them, this world would be a perfect world. Now can anyone imagine a perfect world? God was here, there, and everwhere when he created space and time.' Thanks for prooving once again the intellectual giant u surely are! Derp! Derp! (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) Naboo_the_Enigma: Are u familiar with the Occams Razor Hypothesis? I suggets checking it out if u arent. Its really not that complex. Once u have an understanding, then read the following 2 passages and let me know ur thoughts. Evolution proposes a simple-to-complex progression based on tangible evidence and has advanced our understanding of how things work. Your god belief proposes an EXTREMELY-complex-to-complex LEAP based on NO evidence and has advanced NOTHING. (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) (Post deleted by XFixYourBrainX ) Naboo_the_Enigma: Thats why no one takes u serious. Because u never afford any time to read anyone elses advice.. Why should someone give u the benefit of the doubt when u arent prepared to do the same? Shame really because u are missing out, because Occams Razor is quite an interesting hypothesis which can be applied to many things. But u still continue to dwell in ur little bubble of false bliss and ignorance. Instead choosing to trip over ur unevolved feet time and time again. | Science Chat Room Similar Conversations |
