Hatman20: I'm currently working on designing minor parts for the Orion capsule and launch vehicle. Not much work needed really, a lot of the parts already exist. Pretty much just the capsule that's new technology.

Hatman20: "What do you think of Col . Corso saying in his book that a great deal of our tech was back engineered from alien tech?"

It's bullshit. The first stage of the Ares 1 rocket originally intended for Orion is a solid rocket booster. It's LITERALLY a scaled up hobby rocket motor.

Alien tech would've had to have come from another planet several lightyears away. If our technology was reverse engineered from technology that can go to whole other solar systems, then our current tech wouldn't be so crude and inefficient.

"that's why the tech progressed so quickly from the 1950's."

Actually, in concept, our rocket tech hasn't changed much since the 1930's when the first liquid fuel rockets were being built. Due to safety concerns and lack of funding, rocket engineering is one of the slowest evolving technologies as compared to almost any other engineering field today. In fact, we're kinda going backwards when you compare the Ares and Orion to the Space Shuttle. Ares looks more like the ideas that originated from Apollo. The SLS looks even more like Apollo than that.

Additionally, speed of advancements today are the result of exponential growth. NOT LINEAR. This is because 1 advancement typically results in several more advancements being based on the initial one. This exponential growth trend in technology can be traced all the way back to Mesopotamia 7,000 years ago, and further back, long before most UFO conspiracy theorists would claim we acquired alien technology.

"When will the Orion be ready with astronauts on board?"

Actually, it's already been test flown on the Delta IV about a year ago, so the capsule itself is theoretically ready to take on astronauts. But the Delta IV isn't human rated, so we need to wait for the SLS launch vehicle. Since Ares is proving to be a bit of a bust thanks to budget cuts, NASA decided to go with a smaller 1 part launch system instead of the Ares rockets. The SLS looks kind of like a Saturn 1 with side mounted separable boosters and the option of stage modifications for bigger cargo (though it actually beats the Saturn V in cargo capacity). Test version parts are currently being built and tested. It should be ready to test launch in 2017. Manned test flights will likely come in 2018 to 2020, and I expect the first real missions using it will come about after 2020.

Geoff: No, because it is bullshit spouted by someone with no evidence.

Much like you. But I am just sick of you posting copypasta bullshit or youtube vids without any evidence that you aren't just talking out of your arse.

Because you always fail on the logic front when you have to use your own words.

lori100: I have a video of a scientist comparing the recent Chinese moon pics to the old ones to show the similarities proving they were on the moon....he talks about a specific technique the Chinese used related to their landing spots that is very significant and related to the existence of unusual objects on the moon ....want to see the video?.....It's very interesting....

of the fundamentalist box...good thing other scientists are open to different ideas and concepts like Bohr and Einstein, and the Chinese scientists...

lori100: more info on the reason the landing sites of the Chinese were significant...-----------Spherical Geometry & 19.5 Degrees throughout the solar ..

www.vortexmaps.com/planets.php---------Spherical Geometry & 19.5 Degrees
throughout the solar system-------On the Sun: sunspot activity and the region of peak temperatures is limited to 19.5 degreees north and south.
On Venus: the presumably active major volcano complexes Alpha and Beta Regio are near 19.5 degrees.

On Earth:
Mauna Loa, Hawaii (19 degrees 28 minutes N, 155 degrees 37 minutes W) The largest shield volcano is at 19.6 degrees north. This is Mauna-Kea volcano on the island of Hawaii.
Mexico City, Mexico (19 degrees 23 minutes N, 99 degrees 10 minutes W) The Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan is at 19.6 degrees north.
-----------------On Mars: the "vast" Olympus Mons shield cone volcano is at 19.5 degrees.
On Jupiter: the "red spot" which is an obvious vortex is at 19.5 degrees.
On Neptune: in 1986 Voyager II discovered a similar spot at 19.5 degrees north. ---------Curiously, it has also been observed that 19.5 degrees is closely linked, for some reason, with the NASA space missions (for example, Mars Pathfinder landed at 19.5 degrees lat. of Mars on July 4, '97). In fact, not only did Pathfinder landed at 19.5 N, the longitude of the landing site was approximately 33 W - which is the very number of the longitude of the apex of the Great Bend of the Nile (33 E)! ----------------the Chinese landed at 19.5 degrees having to do with the hyperdimensional torsion physics just being studied now...

We can send a conspiracy theorist to the moon and it will still be the same response. It's imbedded in their personality, nothing on a lack of proper information. Too strange that someone will choose to believe a shady 'unknown source' than an expert in the field.

Geoff: Lori, you have no understanding of Einstein or Bohr.

When it comes to scientific debate, I don't quote them, I am not a physicist -I am not qualified to quote them.

I can say that both of those giants of 20th century science would be horrified at someone using them in an "appeal to authority". And both of them would look at you with scorn for not knowing the first thing about what they studied.

You just want to attack people who like to use evidence to come up with a view of the world. That's fine. But stop insulting the honoured dead.
