^^^ There's their super-top-secret website where you can keep up to date on all their super-top-secret activities and developments.

But don't tell anybody that I posted that link. The Hollow Earth Reptilian Overlords might come after me.

Corwin: Oh, an update on that alleged signal coming from the direction of Proxima Centauri.
Turns out it was confirmed to be merely Earth-based interference caused by human technology.

With so much radio clutter here on Earth, false-positives for SETI aren't uncommon.
But people shouldn't publish news stories about those signals until they're confirmed. It's just shameless "click-bait".

teddy_ro: The Universe is so vast, here we are looking at it asking if there's life out ther ! When we're discovering new species here on earth living in the most inhospitable environments and conditions and still haven’t explored our own world fully! So why not?

Troublinn: Ellie Arroway: I'll tell you one thing about the universe, though. The universe is a pretty big place. It's bigger than anything anyone has ever dreamed of before. So if it's just us... seems like an awful waste of space. Right?

Just for fun play around with numbers in the Drake Equation. Even with the most conservative estimates the probability of other life existing in the solar system and in the Universe is staggering. The uncertainties inherent in the equation make any firm conclusions almost impossible, however, still an interesting and entertaining thought exercise.

Corwin: I once heard the Drake Equation described as "a wonderful way to organize our ignorance".

It is fun though to play around with it.

I like this quote from Arthur C Clarke, "There are two possibilities, either we are alone in the universe, or we are not. Either prospect is terrifying."
