The Year 2012 (Page 2) StuckInTheSixties: A very level-headed, intelligent guy I know was concerned about the computer ramifications of Y2K. He wasn't remotely hysterical about it or anything, but he was concerned. So he purchased a pretty large amount of gold. Not some certificates that said he owned gold, but actual gold, from a broker, in bars, I believe. He put them in some sort of secure vault storage. After Y2K blew over, he decided that he just liked owning gold, so he kept it, and still has it. It's been a great investment for him, much better than any of the conventional investments available, such as real estate, IRAs, CDs, bonds, the stock market, etc. StuckInTheSixties: Okay. Since we're all gonna die in 2012, I'll tell you what ... let's sign a contract that says you're gonna give me all your stuff on January 1, 2013. You'll never have to do it, cause we're all gonna be gone, right? In return, I'll give you ten bucks. No ... wait ... I'll make it twenty bucks. And I'll pay you up front as soon as you sign the contract. What do you have to lose? We're all gonna die in 2012 anyway. So put an extra twenty bucks in your pocket in the meantime. OptiMusPrime: Ok! ...Im not sacred and i see what smart ass remark you meant ,but if 2012 is going to be a year of phenomenal activities ? whats the use of opinionating on it , if all is going to be gloom and doom , then lets all eat and drink ..for tomorrow we die , any way ? who came up with this topic...i must say though , i want it to get pass 2012 because i want to go back to orland disney world for the 60th anniversary of walt disney in 2015 ..so!? , i say 2012 according to prophecy is irrelevant....it just cant happen .... StuckInTheSixties: I'm going to prophesize here: bahcatha2 will soon insult someone about their religious beliefs. bahcatha2: That is just like all prophesies, they are either after the fact, or a sure bet, I prophesise the sun will set late this evening. very few prophesies happened before the fact, and even the ones that did were ignored, I.E "The prophesy of the birth of Jesus" This was prophesied in an extremely religious part of the world, it was prophesied way in advance, but yet when Mary was with child, and looking to give birth, not one person was willing to give her any place, with the exception of a barn to have this prophesied miracle. Either no one cared, or no one actually believed it then either. BBMTUNG: 2012 was predicted by too many people/civilizations to not be true. Nostradamus(the guy who predicted 9/11 and the economy going down the crapper) predicted it the Mayans, Aztecs and many of the South American civilizations. StuckInTheSixties: On January 1, 2013, are you going to admit you're an idiot? I'll make my own predictions here: ~ On January 1, 2013, Wireclub readers will point to your post and laugh at you. ~ Before January 1, 2013, you will delete your account, sparing yourself from being ridiculed by your post. For the record (in case this person tries to back out of his silly post by editing or deleting), at 1:35 am, July 28, 2010, a Wireclub user with the name of BBMTUNG, 19, Male from Cressona, Pennsylvania - United States posted the following: "2012 was predicted by too many people/civilizations to not be true. Nostradamus(the guy who predicted 9/11 and the economy going down the crapper) predicted it the Mayans, Aztecs and many of the South American civilizations." bahcatha2: It is like all other predictions who knows what it will do until the time comes, it is no stupider to believe in 2012 than to believe in a second coming or a judgment day. StuckInTheSixties: They're all pretty wacky, aren't they? But I think this thread is supposed to be about this particular wacky concept. | Science Chat Room Similar Conversations |
