The word of God. julienjesus34: I am a Christian who would love to talk about God's transforming power through his word. (Post deleted by GeraldtheGnome ) (Post deleted by jak1735 ) Hailstorm Harry: Im a Muslim woman from South Africa now living in New Zealand. Im open to learning about other faiths especially Christianity. John4466: jak1735. it all depends what you are looking for I guess. I love the Word of God and love to go deep especially because there are so many doctrines of devils around. I love eschatology and learning about what He has done, who we are in Him as new creations and how to do the works by faith. My wife and I have experienced Gods supernatural power in regards to healing and deliverance for 20 years now which makes life never boring ;-) I am a mod in the pastors room from Isaiah58 but not always there. we pretty often talk Bible, quote the Word, paste faith building songs and videos and pray for one another. then there is tellcat with the prayer room and LatteCity is dedicated to do Bible studies. There are more rooms but these are normally the rooms I go into. God bless. ipirate2: The bible, --- I do not like to call it the Word of God, --- I venerate instead for the art that it represents. It is a fantastic moral teacher and myth. Unfortunately, Christians have forgotten how to read it and have not condemned Yahweh to the hell Christianity invented. Christians of today, because of supernatural thinking, have forgotten the moral of the bible as a whole. That Yahweh and Jesus are not good. Think mass murderers and I need say no more. It is unfortunate that the more ancient and naturalist Christianity that was so great, and kicked it off so well, no longer exists. The only good I see from the bible today, is to have moral people reject it's God. Regards DL ipirate2: John4466: Few places seem to discuss moral issues or core belief issues. Too near the bone perhaps. Know anyone into religious moral issues? Regards DL GeraldtheGnome: The word of god is as Germanic as the name god, so there is no word of a god named God and the word god (in regards to Judaism and Christianity) as well as the name is Germanic, it comes from after the end of The Western Roman Empire in 476 AD. Don't you mean the words of the god that you are for ? Why is it always the word of 'God' ? If a god is real then can that god only use one word or do you just mean the word god literally ? Either way no one so far has proved that there is a god and when you look at the religious stories of every god then they are all about a made up god. I can prove why they are made up. A god, if one is real and around somewhere right now, is a god that we still know nothing about. If you don't believe me then that is fine, when you look to see if I am right or not independently then you will know if I am right or wrong anyway. You hope that he has transforming power but it is nothing more than a belief. The Bible is interesting in an odd way though. I hope that there is a god around somewhere right now, I think that there possibly is, there's no proof against the possibility after all. (Edited by GeraldtheGnome) GeraldtheGnome: God is imaginary so no will will ever find any word of a god named God and the first known use of the name God and the word god was a few centuries in from the start of The Middle Ages. The word god and the name God were first used in The Middle Ages. GeraldtheGnome: No. If God, which is is Medieval name mind you, is around right now, then prove it or be rightfully accused of making a false claim Agnostic Polytheist Atheist. Use a full stop too next time. jak1735: Gerald Gnome he is way the truth and the life the road to heaven goes through Christ our lord and savior GeraldtheGnome: We cannot prove that there is a Heaven, nor a Christ and nor God. That's the way to the truth, knowing that. GeraldtheGnome: Correction, it is believed that all of that is so even though no one can prove that. The Book of John, chapter 14, verse six, (in Modern English). Iesus sayd vnto him: I am ye waye ye truthe and ye life. And no man cometh vnto the father but by me. That was the 1526 Tyndale Version of The Bible. So it is a Renaissance Age Bible. Even then the name John was not used. YouTube The guy in the video got himself confused, he said that his version was from 1526 and yet he had text up that had 1529, which is still the time of The Renaissance, just after that. If I made the verse up, just like an anonymous author once did who believed that the nonexistent Christ and main god (by whatever name was originally used), then the verse would be, so far as Modern English has it, 'Christ said to him, "I am the way to the truth in your life and no goes to my father in anyway other than by me". The thing though is that just because I stated that about the claim does not mean that the verse was originally anything like the standard English version is even if a proper translation of the earliest still intact version of the verse is used. Did you noticed that god, not God was used in the version I showed you ? On and off, even hundreds of years before William Tyndale was alive, the English versions of any part of The Bible had God or god for the name of the main god, sometimes even in the same religious manuscript. So what was it like in 1175 AD, the time of The Castle Age, the last year that Early English was used. The first year of The Castle Age. Now even look at the same verse of 1175 in The Wessex Gospels in the West Saxon dialect of Early English/Anglo-Saxon. If the link below isn't good enough then I can show you a site with an actual photograph of that exact verse from The Wessex Gospels. Hopefully this will be good enough though. While you are there you will notice that the name John was never used that far back. The earliest version of it is still around and it's from 990 AD, The Feudal Age. https://textusreceptusbibles.com/Wessex/43/14 (Edited by GeraldtheGnome) GeraldtheGnome: Hey sexist and hypocrite. How is your marriage ? Each anonymous author is really who is the first to come up with each verse, not some god. You are the last person to go on about hiding, then again you love making false accusations too. (Edited by GeraldtheGnome) GeraldtheGnome: I wasn’t referring to your own belief in magic, you are wrong about everything that you just falsely accused me of. I’m not the one who hides who I truly am you liar. For everything that myself and that most people have been incorrect about you have made more mistakes than that in that amount of time. No matter how much you want any magician in the sky to be around somewhere right now you still are unable to prove that even one god isn’t made up. That never stops you from foolishly thinking that there is a god named God out there somewhere looking down at you. Most people know more than you know. Your last message was completely wrong. I’ll leave you to it Troll. (Edited by GeraldtheGnome) mrsmargaret48: Read my post, I didn't accuse you of anything but been wrong. I haven't read one post were you were right about anything. Tyndale was strangled near Brussels not in England. . Appears Trolls and liars know more about history and theology than gnomes, check your facts next time. | Religion Chat Room
