Apokalupto: What do you think about the actual video Genesis 22:18 Hebrew "Seed" vs. "Descendants" or "Offspring"?

The word Zera in Hebrew in Genesis for "seed" is singular, not plural even though it has a plural form which could have been used, the author chose not to. Other translations don't translate it properly but the KJV does. This same Zera "seed" began first to be spoken of with Eve in Genesis 3:15.

Apokalupto: Well good, i am glad you enjoyed the video. My hope is that other people see and learn the numerous flaws in other translations and if they at least refuse to change to a better translation, they will at the least be better informed. I got my KJV online years ago, I upgraded from the NKJV which I used back in the day. I used to think it was merely an improved more modernized language version of the same book, namely the KJV which it's not. It's not the worst though.

Mine is a leather back but not a red letter Bible. That's okay, it just makes me pay attention more closely when reading. Now Ive updated (if you can even call it that) to the Greek New Testament. The Original Hebrew, original Greek NT and the KJV all say the exact same thing, "Seed" singular. Consistency. : D

Fractured fairy tale: Love not the World. Neither the things that are in the World. If any man love the World the love of the Father is not in him

For all that is in the World the love of the flesh. And the lust of the eyes. And the pride of life .Is not of the Father but is of the World

Apokalupto: That dude needs to cut the umbilical cord. All he does is road hog (spam and solicit) my threads with temper tantrums while waving a dead chicken in a last hope to get even with me from all the times he lost a debate with me and the numerous thread topics that I have made proving my points which remain untouched. I remember I wrote a long and detailed explanation of the passover lamb in his thread a long time ago and he did nothing but laugh it off and mock and his buddies applauded him. Such great "intelligent" discussions. Total fail.

If you don't care then don't. As GIR said, waste of time.

Everyone knows its the Messiah that blesses and changes the world. Pretty self explanatory. The Jews even translated "seed" in the singular in their own Greek translation of the Torah in the Septuagint.

Nothing more need be said on the topic than has already been said above, the Hebrew author chose a singular word "Zera" therefore the translation in the KJV is correct to translate it singular. The Hebrew, Greek New Testament, the Septuagint and KJV are all in perfect harmony on this.
