These sources if for nothing else ought to help you figure out where to go from here instead of just listening to the actual mythers here on wire.

Enjoy.

edmund_carey
edmund_carey: Jesus being a myth is itself a myth, projected from the desire that it be so. Its spread today is a social, not an intellectual, phenomenon, and a disturbing one, given its obvious falsity. Bart Ehrman points this out in his book "Did Jesus Exist?" and explains also that, if you want to deconstruct Christianity, you don't need false arguments that don't convince any real historian.

6. Did Jesus Exist?: The Historical Argument for Jesus of Nazareth, by Bart Ehrman. (He is an agnostic New Testament textual scholar out of Princeton University).

John Crossan, co-founder of the liberal organization known as the Jesus Seminar, declared:“Jesus’ death by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate is as sure as anything historical can ever be. For if no follower of Jesus had written anything for one hundred years after his crucifixion, we would still know about him from two authors not among his supporters. Their names are Flavius Josephus and Cornelius Tacitus.” (Crossan, Jesus a Revolutionary Biography, p. 145).

The ultra modernist liberal theologian and heretic, Hans Kung writes: "the fact of the crucifixion, which according to all the earliest Christian, Jewish and pagan sources is historically indisputable and needs no proof." (Kung, Islam: Past, Present & Future, p. 498).

Aspect212
Aspect212: Mythicism is so stupid. A desperate attempt to deny the facts. The Epistle to the Galatians is considered by scholars (conservative and liberal) to be genuinely pauline (St. Paul actually wrote it). Paul says in Galatians that he met Peter, James, and John. He refers to James as "the Lord's brother." (Galatians 1:19). The atheist Richard Carrier (a mythicist) admitted that this passage is the strongest evidence for the historical Jesus.

Apokalupto: Paul certainly met the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ as recorded in the scriptures. On top of that, Paul claims to have received the gospel not by men but by revelations of the Lord.

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. Galatians 1:11

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:12

Paul had many revelations and he met the Lord Jesus in visions and understood many mysteries. The Apostle Peter affirms the truth of all of Pauls writings when he makes them equal to the other scriptures.

And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 2Peter 3:15

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 2Peter 3:16
