crossing the red Sea once again

Apokalupto
Apokalupto: I was reading the Septuagint in my Greek studies and was reminded of a very interesting passage.

in the book of Iesous starting at 4:19 and the people came up out of iordanou on the 10th day of the first month and camped and galgalois in the east border of iericho. and those 12 Stones which they took out of iordanou did Iesous pitch in gagalois and he spake unto the children of Israel saying, when your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, what mean these stones? then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this iordanen on dry land. for the Kurios your Theos (LORD your God) dried up the Waters of iordanou from before you, until you were passed over, as the Kurios your Theos did to the red sea, which he dried up before us, until we were gone over: that all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that he might fear the LORD your God forever.

what is interesting about this is iesous here in this passage seems to be patterned straight after Moses.

first, they finish passing through Jordan on the 10th day of the first month.
in Exodus when Israel is in Egypt the Passover Lamb is instituted on the 10th day of the first month-and then they eat it on the 14th.

next iesous parallels the crossing over the Jordan with the red Sea crossing, to remind the children of Israel saying "as the LORD your God did to the red Sea when he dried up from before us until we were gone over"

and then lastly iesous says "that the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that he might fear the LORD your God forever."

which again iesous paralleled with moses

Exodus 14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

Apokalupto: but it keeps going, iesous chapter 5:2 at that time the LORD said unto iesous, make these sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.

verse 4 and this is the cause why iesous did circumcise: all the people that came out of egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.

so I new generation, the generation that were able to arrive and enter the promised land of milk and honey had to be circumcised again, because the one before had died off.
circumcision is a sign of the covenant, and they were circumcised before they crossed the Jordan and they had to be circumcised again when they crossed over the Jordan into the promised Land. all males have to be circumcised anyway but the way that this is written it parallels showing a before and after like there are two events like the two covenants.

Apokalupto: here's another parallel with Moses.

Isaiah 51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD;

awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old.

Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

Isaiah 51:10 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

Apokalupto: I asked you what constitutes proof, so if the bar that you are setting has to be an everyday natural occurrence then we'll have to throw out the big bang and evolution of man in one foul swoop.

what is a miracle?

tesoronegro17: The Greek text and the new testament is meant to confuse and enslave you....you cannot trust Christian doctrine all Christian doctrine comes from the root sources which are cared for by the Roman Catholic Church which promoted practices contradictory to the Ten Commandments for the sole purpose of keeping them enslaved and leading them away from Hashem and keeping them reliant on the church....thats why they aren't circumcized, they have engraven images of Christ's suffering...idols of stone and wood...like the virgin Mary and crucified Christ...and the worship of Christ as god

Jesus Christ IS the LORD "hashem" Topic: Religion

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. -Jesus Christ

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 2:23 “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

circumcision of The flesh is the Old Testament circumcision of the heart is the New Testament.
