A thought for today

Cenababy: Christians, "christians" that follow Jesus and believe he is God (diety), know that without this belief, they are not in fact Christian. Is Jesus God's son? yes, Is Jesus God in the flesh? Yes and so it goes that if Jesus performed and did all he did, he has to be diety.

People have a hard time understanding this which, I have never had a hard time understanding this. When I look at something in the bible, I don't skim, I don't simply read, I study and ponder the deeper meanings of things in the bible I try to connect the dots so to speak. If just a glance, I might miss something.

Example: ONLY a perfect being can atone for our sins ie' someone sinless, Jesus was/is the only perfect being to ever be, so it goes without confusion, it had to be him!

Example: Why was Jesus born with Mary as his earthly mother? think about that for a moment as you read the above. When we are born here, we are born into sin, because Jesus is sinless, he could not be born as we are.

If we look at what he stood for, what he did, what he taught, there is no doubt in my mind that he IS what he is and who he is. Something to ponder, why in the bible does it always point to Jesus? No where in revelation for instance does it say God comes down, God does this or that? Interesting, right...If we look at the "why's" of this, it is understandable, Jesus is God, he is one with God, the Holy Spirit is Jesus.

Zanjan: Christians are not willing to re-think their beliefs so, meditating on them will not produce any fruit. Their clergy decide what their beliefs must be, even when it goes against common sense.

For example, there's no place in the Bible that says the *physical* body of Jesus went to heaven or the Hereafter. Yet they stubbornly argue that it did, like Smith's gold tablets disappearing up into thin air, despite this being scientifically impossible.

There's never, ever been a single incident of this happening so this belief doesn't pass even the first test of truth. Seems to me Christians will long continue to battle reality, refusing to accept that all truths can be proven plus they stand the test of time.

When God does a work once, He will do it again and again - He's very consistent. Thinking people demand evidence; they will challenge Christians to produce proof.

Zanjan: That said, kudos to the dedicated Christians who are willing to rise to a worthy challenge, despite failures. Convincing others their beliefs are true is the least of the obstacles they face. Some fish will bite any hook.

Like all other religions, keeping believers within the fold, **fully practicing**, is the mightiest challenge in the storms of such a materialistic society. Presenting the face of integrity requires tremendous, time-consuming effort - not for the weak of heart. Our metal is being tested.

This is a New Day - it bestows new thought and new action. The day has come when the religious must realize they aren't exclusive as a people - no religion can stand on its own without back up from those of other religions. In the New World Order, we are all one family, all co-workers in Faith.

For those who join the Spirit are Spirit in the unfailing, mighty Cause of God.

Zanjan: Everything and everyone shall die except God. Then, He makes everything new and breathes life back into whomever He chooses.

This is how God cleans up His room. Likewise, He taught His people to clean up theirs. When shall this be? When you notice the smell.

Zanjan: There was an interesting visiting guest speaker at the local church today - a priest from the Syrian Orthodox church in Homs. He was a young man, dressed in all black robes to the ground like a Jesuit priest of yesteryear. He'd facilitated the Syrian refugee placement to our small town.

He painted a picture of what life used to be like in Syria back in 2010 - the cities were attractive and bustling, full of young, upwardly mobile people. Nobody knew what war was like, except a few old ones, remembering 1963.

In 2011, dark clouds rose as ISIS moved in and told the Christians they had to leave their homes (they no longer owned them), then to leave the city and get out of the country. 100,000 of them at once. They didn't know what was coming next, what would happen tomorrow. .

Despite efforts to have discussions about how Muslims and Christians could live together in peace, there was no success. It wasn't about religion......it was ISIS. Over in the city of Ramalla, ISIS demanded the Christians deny their faith and become Muslim; they refused and were shot, tens of thousands. There was a church there that was built in 56 AD - ISIS demolished it. Neither Muslims or Christians wanted anything to do with war, they were its victims. You know the rest of the story.

The compelling part is where he tells us why he stayed through it all - not just to help refugees escape, but to help those who chose to stay. He explained how some have different gifts and should be in different places, by the will of God. His church helped anyone who needed it. He's still at his church in Homs; in the last year, they received 85 new members.

He said "The blood of the martyrs are the seeds of Faith". That while Christians over here prayed for them, the Syrians over there were praying for Western Christians because they had a different challenge. He said. "In Syria, the churches are FULL".
