Im a Buddhist (Page 2)

Zanjan
Zanjan: If you detach from materialism, you have to attach to something else to be connected. Detachment doesn't aim to leave a hole because nature hates a vacuum.

Humans are a social creature, living in a social order; we're bound to choose our values and stick to them. Buddhism stresses balance - that is, when making decisions, avoid going off to the left or right because those are dangerous extremes. That opens the question of how to locate the area of moderation.

Desire is ok if one desires the good of ALL, particularly, if one desires the love of God.

GeraldtheGnome: Have you heard of the saying ? Buddha makes Butter better. Well does Buddha make Butter better ? I love Monkey Magic. I went out to the Buddhist Temple on the southside here in Brisbane, I read the Buddhist stories and so on, it was all very interesting and I did have a wonderful time except that the State Government of Queensland had enforced Mask wearing at the time, it’s still in place. Monkey Magic is based on the journey to the west. The Guy playing Monkey looks vaguely like one of my Uncles.

GeraldtheGnome: My sister and I loved this show (and we still do), it was very cool and it still is. They are showing again on Netflix, so I will watch it again.

Some Australian fans made a music clip based on the show in more recent times.
