ghostgeek: Yes, Moses and the Ten Commandments. After forty days, two of them had been broken by the Israelites and one by Moses. Not bad going for something given to Humanity by God.

Zanjan: Caly, there IS an elevator - apparently, it's called "The Rapture". Others call it the 12th Shakra.

Either way, you'll need a guru to get you there. Don't worry about the wheelchair - a beam of enlightenment sucks you up to the next Enterprise.

Zanjan: For every law that's abrogated, there's another law to replace it. You see, it works right along with the sin of the day.

Zanjan:

The seven Noachide laws, as traditionally enumerated are:

Do Not Deny God
Do Not Blaspheme God
Do Not Murder
Do Not Engage in Incestuous, Adulterous or Homosexual Relationships.
Do Not Steal
Do Not Eat of a Live Animal
Establish Courts/Legal System to Ensure Law Obedience

So, you see, some of the 10 Commandments didn't come from Moses - they were handed down to the Sons of Noah. That these laws were given for the first time clues us into what humans were doing before they knew about them.

No one knows what laws Adam delivered, other than dietary instructions and wearing clothing, but I bet those had something to do with things less challenging to us like, taking a bath.

Likely, the prehistoric world required re-stating some basic laws because people were migrating further and further away from their place of birth, forgetting their previous culture. Once writing was invented and at least a couple people could read, they could bring their collective memories along with them.

Doesn't matter if you can't recite the 10 C, you'd still have been taught one way or the other.

robertbatchelor: Taling GOD at HIS WORD I must state the Tables pof STONE still in the ARK were it was lefts are clearly the nature of GOD, To be sons of GOD we must have those exact commands as part of our life to get started with HEBEWS 11:1 were can be seen who we are by even the WORLD.
Eternal life is only awarded to PEOPLE with VISIBLE FAITH.
GOD in HIS WISDOM only allows TRUTH to go to the WILLING and no others.
It is magic reading the BIBLE and seeing TRUTH wwhere other only see words.
GOD was very sise in making it impossible for those who do not want any truth to be enbarrist by getting TRUTH>
It is a miracle reading the BIBLE.

Zanjan: "Human experience, not magic."

It's human to feel pain in the heart so deep, it feels like every bone in one's body has been broken; life goes limp and comes to a standstill with barely a semblance of function. Joy is the exact reverse - it's energizing, refreshing, invigorating, health - giving.

All the divine virtues can be tested, just like emotions. Every pattern and dynamic can be identified and named. Every hoax will *quickly* show itself. Every piece of evidence will be collected. Every error will be corrected. Justice will always be served.

I could go on about the heroes who've given their lives so others can live; some who've sacrificed everything so another could be happy or receive justice; some who've taken the fall for another and so on.

What we believe doesn't amount to much of anything if it can't be realized on this plane of existence. If it can be, then we can share the source of our inspiration and drive. If God is the source, that doesn't give us authority to speak for Him.

robertbatchelor: GOD does ask us to repeat his very words and only what he has said. look at MATTHEW 25:40 GOD has sent me to deliver as he said only. GOD has often said well done thou good and faithfull servant to many over the ages.

Dennae: Things to think about:

There are 613 commandments in the bible.

The Roman Catholic church's version of the Ten Commandments doesn't include one about idolatry.

Work for six days and rest on the Sabbath.
Under Roman rule and the Roman calendar, there was 8 days in a week. Which one was Sabbath then?

I guess everyone breathed a sigh of relief when the Gregorian Calendar was introduced.
