Storms Of Life

Auphirah
Auphirah: I am amazed how storms are used in the believers lives to bring Glory to ABBA(GOD). Hallelujah! Storms are uncharted waters that are full of chaos in the midst of turmoil within our soul, minds, heart and spirit. How many times does ABBA(GOD) used storms in the Sacred Word to establish HIS foundation in a believers life? Anyone going through uncharted waters that a believer feels one is drowning within the abyss of darkness? There is an Anchor to save you from drowning of the abyss of torment. Believers in the Sacred Word who were used in or delivered from a storm. Genesis 6 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) 17 “Understand that I am bringing a flood—floodwaters on the earth to destroy every creature under heaven with the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will die. 18 But I will establish My covenant with you, and you will enter the ark with your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives. Jonah 1 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) Jonah’s Flight 4 Then the Lord hurled a violent wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose on the sea that the ship threatened to break apart. 5 The sailors were afraid, and each cried out to his god. They threw the ship’s cargo into the sea to lighten the load. Meanwhile, Jonah had gone down to the lowest part of the vessel and had stretched out and fallen into a deep sleep. 6 The captain approached him and said, “What are you doing sound asleep? Get up! Call to your god.[b] Maybe this god will consider us, and we won’t perish.

Zanjan: "Storms are uncharted waters ..."

Now hold on there a minute - not all storms are unknown or unexpected. Not all people are unprepared for the worst of their fury.

From birth to age 30, I lived continually in a hurricane, learning how to sail like a master, reading every wave like a hunter. Every day sent whipping rain or pelting hail; being well-oiled, I took it like water off a duck's back. Since I'd never known any other way of life, the tempest was my home, my most comfortable environment. Some here can probably identify.

On the other hand, Tornadoes have terrifying power because they don't sweep - they aim to kill. To me, they're a variation of the hurricane so, I was well prepared. However, one doesn't come out unscathed from such encounters; if that pillar has your name, say goodbye to the world as you knew it.

There's a lot to be said for the benefits of experiencing hardship while one is young - everything after that is gravy.

Noah, His family, and Jonah were content with God's judgment; whatever He wills. The sailors who prayed were not.

Zanjan: Like Jonah, I feel so sad for people who don't know how to pray - it's like watching a baby animal thrashing in the water, trying to reach shore and you just want to go in there and give it a hand. But you have to stand back, letting nature take its course. Hard thing to do.

I want to tell them not to pray for things that are against God's Will. Then I remember they don't know what God's Will is, poor things. This brings to mind Christ saying "I feel compassion for them' .........and one thinks how powerful one has to be to step in where others would say it's none of your business. So, I think of the children...and I reach out to them instead.
