SWlNE: There was a discussion prior to my posts. I thought he was referring to the person he was in one with. I can provide the evidence for my statements, I just assumed that you all might've already been aware of the refugee situation:

Statement 1: "Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Egypt have all taken in refugees"

Source for Statement 1:
"More than 4 million refugees from Syria (95%) are in just five countries Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt:
Lebanon hosts approximately 1.2 million refugees from Syria which amounts to around one in five people in the country
Jordan hosts about 650,000 refugees from Syria, which amounts to about 10% of the population
Turkey hosts 1.9 million refugees from Syria, more than any other country worldwide
Iraq where 3 million people have been internally displaced in the last 18 months hosts 249,463 refugees from Syria
Egypt hosts 132,375 refugees from Syria"

Statement 2: aid has been provided by muslims from the Gulf states by means of charitable organisations and individually.

Source for Statement 2:

COUNTRY: SAUDI ARABIA
Upon directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Director General of Saudi Relief Campaigns, approved the program of fasting for the Syrian and Somali peoples during the Holy Month of Ramadan at a cost of over $3.31 million.

Saudi Arabia and the High Commissioner of the United Nations for Refugees (UNHCR) signed a cooperation agreement under which the Kingdom will contribute $5 million to help the displaced Syrians. This came on the sidelines of the 3rd International Pledging Humanitarian Conference for Syria held in Kuwait today in the presence of the Minister of Finance Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf. The agreement was signed by Saudi Fund for Development representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The funded projects by Saudi Arabia aim to rebuild and rehabilitate a total of 4,650 homes in Damascus, Homs, Hama, Daraa and Idlib, in addition to providing public facilities and services, which will benefit a total of 23,250 displaced Syrians.

Saudi National Campaign to Support Brothers in Syria has dispatched its 28th convoy for displaced civilians in southern Syria. The Campaign's Regional Director Dr. Badr Al-Samhan said that the aid convoy consists of 10 trucks containing 41.6 tons of relief supplies valued at $512,000. The aid convoy is expected to enter Syria across the Jordanian border under the umbrella of U.N. Security Council Resolution 2191.

Saudi National Campaign to Support Brothers in Syria continued providing bread for the Syrian displaced people in Aleppo and Idlib through mobile bakeries. Since the program began about two years ago to now, over 60,000 loaves of bread have been distributed daily to nearly 4,000 Syrian families for a total of some 33 million loaves at a cost about $544,000.

Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria yesterday distributed the 32nd shipment of winter relief supplies to 1,000 Syrian refugee families in Sir Al-Dhinyah area in northern Lebanon. Walid Al-Jalal, director of the campaign in Lebanon, said that the campaign has distributed 48,000 winter items, including blankets, and children’s winter clothes, to 1,000 families.

Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria has sent a new convoy of urgent aid displaced people in northern Syria. The 23rd convoy of 10 trucks set off from the Turkish port of Mersin for northern Syria to complete the distribution of the aid among the displaced people in camps in northern Syria's regions.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria has dispatched its 18th convoy of urgent winter relief materials to Daraa Governorate in southwestern Syria, north of the border with Jordan.

The convoy, which entered Syria from Jordan, included more than 25,000 pieces of winter supplies, including blankets and children's supplies, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration and the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. The aid delivery is compliance with U.N. Security Council Resolution 2165 (2014) which authorizes relief delivery across conflict lines and through additional border crossings.

In response to the deteriorating humanitarian situation and suffering in Syria due to the winter storms are sweeping through Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey, and in line with directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria, has directed the establishment of an urgent land relief bridge to transfer in-kind donations which were donated by Saudi citizens to Syrian refugees inside Syria and in neighboring countries.

Dr. Said Al-Arabi Al-Harthi, advisor to the Minister of Interior, said that agreements have been reached with Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey to start the transfer of the donations Jan. 22.

On the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on Jan. 11, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the National Campaign to Support the Syrian Brothers, approved an emergency $2.4 million heating fuel project for Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The project is part of the campaign’s $14.1 million winter supply projects for Syrian refugees. Since July 2012, the campaign has provided $178 million in relief supplies for Syrian refugees.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Syrian Brothers continued the distribution of winter aid supplies to Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Dr. Badr Al-Samhan, regional director of the campaign, announced last week that the campaign has distributed 70,000 blankets, 150,000 children’s blankets, 70,000 children’s winter coats, and 233,000 hats in Al-Batron camp in northern Lebanon.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Syrian Brothers continued the distribution of winter aid supplies to Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon. Dr. Badr Al-Samhan, regional director of the campaign, announced last week that the campaign has distributed 450,000 blankets, 300,000 winter jackets, 700,000 sweaters, 630,000 children’s winter clothing sets, and 700,000 hats in Zaatari camp in Jordan.

...There are more, the list is very long. Should I do the rest for the other Gulf nations or you'll do a bit of reading and research on your own?

SWlNE: I was just thinking that sometimes persons in the West fail to understand the dynamics of the Gulf countries or any nation that is outside of the culture or scope of understanding. It's not a muslim to muslim situation. It's not a 'Syria is muslims so muslims should take in the refugees'. Syria consists of different sects and also of Christians. So it is not a fixed religious entity. Even looking at the root of the conflict, these gulf states risk a lot if they open the doors widely for an intake of refugees. Especially Saudi Arabia. Don't forget that there are a lot of terrorist organisations who want to get a fixed hold on Saudi Arabia.
If they are going to consider it, it will be best to have proper means of screening in place. There is a risk of political instability within their own countries.
I don't know if it poses a big threat to the European countries but it will for these Gulf countries.

SWlNE: Some of those Isis members already came from European and Western countries, perhaps they'll have no problems going back but they'll not be able to easily infiltrate the Gulf states under normal circumstances.

I K R: sura 9:29
Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.
(jizyah tx is still put onto non muslims in islamic countries)
Sura 2:191
And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.
Sura 5:51
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
sura 5:59
Say, "O People of the Scripture, do you resent us except [for the fact] that we have believed in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed before and because most of you are defiantly disobedient?"
5:60
Say, "Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah ? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of Taghut. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way."

Hate, violence, filth, war booty as sex slaves, total disrespect for women and when to have a bath thats all thats in the quran

sebtheanimal: A few million $ in aid is a drop in the bucket, probably what one Saudi makes in a year. They did it to save face, try to appear concerned. They don't give a shit and everyone knows it. The Syrian Alwais, Sunnis and whatever other gangs slaughter one another will probably be blamed on Israel, because that's the typical response.

Your response is very emotional and has no logic to it, Sebtheanimal. Who is blaming Israel at the moment? You're the only person I've seen mentioned it. Do you want to sit this one out.

Again. You're welcome. Knowledge is a useful thing, don't allow ignorance to make you docile.

SWlNE: You're getting emotional in the sense that you're not presenting rational conclusions. Making wide statements as "what one Saudi makes in a year. They did it to save face, try to appear concerned. They don't give a shit and everyone knows it." No evidence, just statements based on your own personal feelings.
At the end of the day, they're sending aid that is used and it is important that they continue. They're not mandated to do it. Your personal animosity or intense emotions on it shouldn't be put in play here. You should try hard to put that aside and argue a fixed point.

sebtheanimal: This is what my crystal ball says:
The migrants to Europe, few of which are actually Syrian, will drain the welfare benefits of those 'kind' nations, after which they will proceed to trash vars on the streets and set fires to trash cans on the sidewalks. Then after turning those cities into what resembles third-world ruins, they will proceed with Sharia law as the just form of life and everyone will rejoice at having turned back civilization a thousand years.
